Don't understand the VVD comparisons, he is a good defender with good features but he neither has VVD's physique, nor his coordination or his wide range passing abilities.

The way he reads the game and make those killer tackles is very simmilar though. He is also quicker than vvd but vvd is stronger and has better passing

Exactly they’re nothing alike. Fofana reminds me of Rudiger or pepe very aggressive similar height and physique loves to charge out with the ball. He has more composure and class with the ball than Rudiger. If he reaches his potential he will be better than Rudiger and hit Peak Pepe levels. Nothing like van dijk still a potentially great player
