Nice!!!! Does this have thorns like the B. Raintree? I have something that looks very similar growing as weeds in my front yard under my shrubs. I have been wondering what the heck they are. I think I might pull some out and plant them up and see what they grow into. Yours is a gorgeous tree!
Thank you! Tamarind has no thorns. The leaves are also a little larger than the rain tree although they are both legumes so they look very similar. Since I don't know where you live, I couldn't possibly try to figure out what you've got growing in your yard. If you like you can email me a picture to Bonsaibyalan@gmail.com and I'll do my best. My guess is that it is also some kind of legume since all legume trees have a very similar compound leaf.
Ive been searching for tamarind tree for bonsai, and i am happy to see your tree is doing well and flowering.
I'm not sure where you live but D+L Bonsai Nursery in Ocala Fl. has them for sale. Not sure if they ship but you might want to give them a try.
