I have several questions: Can this cut 2mm thick cardboard? Can this cut 13x19 inches paper? Can I import files to cut from illustrator? If I have an image printed in a paper, will this allow me to cut it out?
Love the video, 1 question I get varying info on line for is the length it can cut. If I want to cut external grade vinyl for decals and lettering on vehicles, with a roll loaded what is the max I can set the length for it to travel down the roll? So if lettering ended up 60" x 13" (13" across the 15" direction), will the Unit perform that or is there a limitation?
Doobie Douglas, I never used us cutters before, so I can’t comment on it. But I love the cameo. For me , it’s easy to use and travel with it. Plus I love the silhouette studio. I would go with what I know and it would be the Cameo. I hope that help :)
Any chance you can tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m new to this. So I’m writing in text, NINE IS A VIBE. Everytime I go to send and mirror it it comes out exactly the same way how it looks on the screen and I can’t hear press it because it will be backwards. I can’t figure it out for nothing. Please help lol. Thanks
Hi there! There's a chance the graphic is being mirrored twice by mistake. We'd recommended looking over your settings to ensure you are not selecting it on two different steps.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has created an indefinite delay on the additional colors of the Cameo Plus as well as the new Cameo Pro. We don't have an ETA at this time, but we will update via newsletter and social media as soon as we get word from Silhouette America.
@@HeatPressNation Thanks for the info! I'm looking into getting either a cricut maker or cameo 4 for projecting mapping onto bass wood projects and for the life of me couldn't find info on the pro vs. the plus. Now I know the lack of pro information is (naturally) due to this pandemic. Thanks again for the video man!
There are lots of improvements on the new Cameo 4. Check out this blog for full details: www.heatpressnation.com/blogs/blog/should-i-upgrade-to-a-cameo-4

You can cut with or without a cutting mat. I use the cutting mat whenever possible, since you get the most out of your vinyl. But to use the full 15" roll, you have to load it in directly. -Jared
No, you don't need to turn on registration marks when cutting vinyl. That's only for print & cut jobs. To get the vinyl to feed, make sure your holding it up against the wheels with one hand and pressing the load button with the other. It's a little dance, but you'll get it. Also, be sure the wheel is snapped into the proper place and the roller bar is locked in the down position.
@@HeatPressNation thank you,one more question im trying to cut vynil for example in the circle inside of the letter "e" doesnt cut out how do i fix that?
I just bought this machine. I will follow up with you to learn what and how to use it. I'm interesting to learn rhinestone design. Thank you.
Good video Jared thanks
Just purchased mine today and can't wait to post my results!! lol hope out comes out just as smooth

Hey FLEX, would you by a cameo 4 plus vs us cutter mh?

does this Plus version accepts the 12x24 inches mat of the cameo 4? thank you.
Yes, you can adjust the rollers to fit the 12"x24" cutting mat.
They should have a stand for it,i'm eyeing my Ar-24 pain in the butt, to throw it away and use the stand for this Cameo 15" #4!
can i use 12 inch rolls on the cameo 4 plus
can i cut cardstock on a mat with cameo 4 plus
Yes and yes 👍👍
thanks
I have a question - for the adhesive vinyl do I have to remove the back cover of just lesve it?
Hi Mae! Once you weed it, you apply the transfer tape on top and remove the backing :)
@@HeatPressNation Thank you very much
I would like to pick one up at your Fullerton CA location this week.

How loud is this one compared to the SC4 and Cricut Maker?? im still trying to decide which to purchase.
About the same as the Cameo 4. We don't carry the Cricut Maker, so I can't speak to how loud it is in comparison.
Will we be able to cut infusable ink vinyl?
Definitely.
when will these be back in stock? and will they be available in different colors or just white?
Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA from Silhouette for the Cameo Plus machines. Silhouette has not announced any new colors for the Plus/Pro models.
When will the black version be available?

Went HPN website didn’t see cameo 4plus on sale, maybe out of stock?
Yes, it is temporarily sold out. We are expecting more by the end of this month.
HeatPressNation gracias
Can this cut materials used in Cake boxes?
You mean the thin cardboard material? If so, then yes. You may need to use the Kraft Blade (sold separately) to cut thicker materials.
Like it
so what's the difference between cameo4 and this one?
There are lots of improvements on the new Cameo 4. Check out this blog for full details: www.heatpressnation.com/blogs/blog/should-i-upgrade-to-a-cameo-4
Is this bluetooth accessibility ?
Yes, it can connect to your computer via bluetooth.
in germany we can only get 19,685 inch on rolls, thats annoying!
Does this Contour-cut?
Yes
My cameo 4 plus James and knocked my cut head out of alignment it now cuts 1 inch to far to the left. Please help.
Thank you
Dennis

So confused, dont you need a cutting mat? @heatpressnation
No, not for all projects. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I don't. You just have to let the Cameo know that you will not be using a mat.
You have never needed a cutting mat. Just for little scraps.
