Having a decade of Casino experience in a major Casino, I can tell you two things.
If you play slots, you will be a loser. You think they got the name one armed bandit because they pay out lol.
If you work at a casino long enough, in the same area enough, you can guess which ones have a better "Chance" of paying out.
For example, I worked the evening till morning shift in the same spot for 2 weeks. The third slot from the wall which was in a main isle would go off if someone was playing from 2-2:10am.
I told a regular player they should play that machine. This person was a table games player only and laughed at the thought playing of a slot machine. But someone else came by, pulled the handle once and they won $2500.
That's not how slot machines work
@@chasejackson7248 because 10 years staring at the same machines every night makes me wrong. Ok 🙄
@@chasejackson7248 - pay cycles. And loose set machine odds placed at key places within the gaming floor. Simple. Some pay more than others as it appears to our non-RNG brains...
I discovered a machine second one was giving 5000 for 3 nights .I was filling when I lost at table. They saw on CCTV and changed its place. I found it again. They deleted that old man game so nothing lost 1000☹️
@@EC_ATV_Outdoors if you are right then this wizard of odds fellow is wrong. He stated clearly the chance of a win is identical with each spin, completely independent. Casting a spell at the witching hour won't change that. Patterns are illusory
Thanks for the hard work. Making a video flow smoothly isn’t as easy as it seems!
Been in Vegas for 21 years. Got a flash for you. Going back to the beginning of the year, a master plan has been put into play. Basically, machines have been changed to a progressive/cumulative. Kinda like those videos games that one has to achieve a certain tier level. This is as close an explanation I can give. I don't know if there is an organization of casinos that get together to determine how they all will set there machines, out here on the Boulder strip, the main casinos pretty much play the same. IMO, I think the casinos, unfortunately, don't want to cater to the person that plays 20 to 60 cents a pop. Even though that's the base of most people who play in the off strip casinos. I called it progressive/cumulative. I've been doing my own experiment, I like to play 4 card keno and poker. I noticed that pattern was progressive, 2,3,4,5,6 of a kind based on you game. And it's not just 2 dueces, 3 dueces, etc, then 2 threes, 3 threes, til you work your way up to 4 of a kind, straight, flushes, you basically have to go through all the possibilities. The same with 4 card keno, I realized the only way to win a jackpot is take my money and put it back in my pocket. I was putting in an amount of money that was close to the possible jackpot, the bigger ones four of a kind with a kicker or a royal. Whatever the casinos agreed upon has been reflective in amount of patrons, which has gone down considerably. If I walk into a casino early afternoon or early evening and see the place is empty and that happens too often, that tells me people are staying home. You visit a casino often enough you can read it. When your favorite machine is playing different, fewer bonus spins, have to achieve an out of pocket minimum before something clicks. The ole I win 5, the casino wants 15 back. I don't like those new big blast machines, they only pay out once or twice every couple of years, and mostly on major holidays. An old Italian relative told me to study your business. That's what I do observe how the machine is playing. And unfortunately, it's definitely not in the players best interests, but that is also working against the casinos. Whatever master plan they are on, they forgot Rule #1, CASINOS NEED PEOPLE. PEOPLE DON'T NECESSARILY NEED CASINOS. THERE ARE MAJOR CHANGES COMING. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN.
that enormous comment was not a flash.
The best advice about gambling came from my mom: When you walk into the casino, look at all the machines plugged in. Look at all the fancy lights. Someone is paying that electric bill.
It puts in perspective how casinos are designed for you to lose.
Exactly Also someone is paying staff and croupiers and hostesses are definetely not cheap it’s a thriving business
OR...."Billion dollar casinos are built by losers"
Casinos aren't built on winners. 😂
Still have the chance of making profit or hitting a huge jackpot. Thats good enough

Seems like kind of a clickbait title, here. I have been a longtime fan of Mr. Shackleford and his work, and everything he says here is 100% true. This video should be titled, "Dispelling the most common slot machine myths and superstitions". There is no way to consistently win at slots.
It's very simple to win big on the slots you have to develop your intuition by listening to your inner voice as far as what machine and what days to play even this is simple try to listen for your own heartbeat and while you're doing that ask a question in yourself and hear the answer
100% way to consistently win on slots. By owning them, and letting others play against you lol
you cant win
you cant break even
all you can do is get out and not play THEIR GAME BY THEIR RULES
@@garrybrown3601 lol
I believe he is being sarcastic with the title.
I know you suggest not playing slots because of the return but one factor in play is the fun factor. I don't play slots JUST so I can make money. I am having fun and being entertained. Sure I can go sit at a table game and grind out a percentage of wins but I don't have fun playing cards. Slot playing is not about breaking the bank but having a fun time playing and if a jackpot hits. Great. If not oh well. I have budgeted money and counted it as a loss before I get to the casino. If I can play for hours and break even its a win. Some visits I have broke even. Other times at a loss and times I've left with a wad of cash. Again its not all about wining but the thrill of playing. If you are a "Gambler" then sure stay away from slots. If you are a "player" then go have some fun.
We would agree. You are supposed to go to a casino to have fun and if you enjoy playing slot machines, then that is the game you should play. However, keep in mind that slots have one of the highest casino edges, and it is especially bad if you play fast. There are other games that have much lower edges for the casino if you can find something else you like.
You and I have the exact same perspective on playing slot machines. We both see them purely as entertainment. I see gaming as an alternative to going to football/basketball/baseball games, except that I find gaming much friendlier on my pocketbook, has a bigger thrill factor (dopamine), and I occasionally come out ahead. Also, food and drink are ALWAYS a better bargain at a casino than at a stadium.
@@bkinouye Exactly
@PatriotStand - how many times must you state "playing for fun" in the above rant?
@@TheJackpotGents those games are boring. what is the point of bring home cash if you are bored. if that is what you want to do, get a job.
My wife and I have been playing slot machines for a very long time with the "house's" money. It has been our experience that during any session of playing, there will usually be a time when you're up a little bit. It's important to quit when you're up... don't chase that jackpot. Of course there are always times when you put all of your budget into a machine and reach that stopping point because your budget for that evening is gone. This has rarely happened to both of us in the same day, however. Maybe we've just been lucky, but it feels like knowing when to quit is really the only way we have of moving the odds a little bit.
We don't really make any money doing this, but it has been an inexpensive way to go out and have some fun together.
Ditto! It great fun when you know when to walk away.
Plus if you play with a players card, you get lots of free things like concerts and meals
That is true.
fascinating and smart. can you explain how to know when to quit
@@DrSchor
Not sure exactly. My wife likes to cash out on any win so that she can put her "seed money" back into her purse and play with house money. Sometimes it lasts all night. Sometimes she's done early. It's very rare to have an evening that we both lose, so if I'm ahead, I'll give her some of my winnings to play and she'll do the same for me. On rare occasions the house will win and we will end up donating a couple of hundred bucks to the house. Sometimes we've left the casino with substantial wins, but we keep that separate and budget those winnings out for several weekends of play. If I had to guess, I'd say that overall we're down slightly right now, but we keep it well within the budget we would use for any entertainment purposes. A few years ago I hit a couple of jackpots totaling about $15k. I know for certain that we've put nowhere near that much back in. Perhaps we just haven't played long enough for the odds to change on us ..lol
This is by far one of the best videos on slot percentages that I have seen. One caveat, though where he contradicts himself. In one moment he says the higher the denom. the higher the return percent and then he says if someone gets on the machine after you it will be the same percent chance. If they use a different denom. the percent will change. What makes it different is the nanosecond the other pressed the button is most likely not the same nanosecond the you would have pressed the button.
What I am understanding here is it is wiser to go to the highest denom. and play the lower amount of credits than the other way around. For example, It would be better odds to play a $1denom and 1 credit than a $0.25 denom. at 4 credits
If you hit a jackpot on a machine, You will no doubt have to wait at least four minutes to wait for your hand pay. If it is a server based machine, the slot manager can legally adjust the payout percentage, so it's best to do a couple backup spins. If it doesn't hit anything, move on. Nearly all casinos are going to be server based in 2022.
yes, an easier way for them to rip off the players.
Server base machine-what is the meaning of this?
@@dorotamaty888 A couple years ago casino's were allowed to tie all the machines on the floor into a single computer which could be controlled by their management from a back office or even on the floor. As long as a machine sat idle for at least four minutes, they could turn the payout percentage of that machine down or even off if they wanted to if they didn't want it to payout anything. The gaming commission told me that they didn't care if EVERY machine was turned off as long as the casino didn't show a profit of more than 30 percent at the end of the year. So, the moral of the story is they certainly can manipulate any machine if they wish to do so.
The very idea that they can change the payout percentage at anytime seems dishonest and just wrong. If what you said about that is true, then the person playing should get to know what the current payout percentage is, and what the one or more alternative payout percentages are, and when they might be adjusted, and if they were adjusted, they should know also get to know what the last payout percentage was.
Great info, thanks for sharing! I once won in a slot machine, long time ago, in 1999, playing the Wheel of Fortune (WOF) at MGM in LV. After playing on several WOF machines the first night, I noticed someone winning twice on a particular WOF machine. The next night, I played on the WOF machine that person was winning, and I walked out with a profit of $400. The next night, I went to the same WOF machine, and I ended up positive almost $350. Not sure if it is possible that one machine of several same machines has better odds, and this is long time ago, but for me, that machine was different than others 3 nights in a row. After that excitement of winning, I was departing the next morning, so I could never know if the streak of luck (or simply odds) would go on... and on, but it was worthy! 🍀😀
It was in a pay cycle based on all of the previous losers. You were lucky. That is all.
why didn't you go back to what you know is a winning machine.
I can say that I have hundred of hours on the same game, on two different machines, and constantly one machine pays more often than the other. So the "Loose machine" probably just has a slightly different pay out programmed chip

Not really! Every game in the casino is designed for a sucker!
Makes absolutely no difference, if it's electronic, it can be set to f**k the punter over like Australian Pokies n UK FOBT machines do ! The ONLY way to win at slots is to NOT play them. The have SET payouts and its ONLY a matter of RANDOM LUCK if you win anything.
due to the game play of certain games, there are absolutely some slots games that are better than others, it takes a lot of mathematics, studying and actual playing to come discover real facts about how 'good' a game is. The #1 goal is to find a scheme that will allow a break even scenario, then you just keep going until you get lucky , and that is all it is luck, that you hit a major win or jackpot
Oklahoma.they put on your screen.exemployee card used.get off the machine.they want you to leave
i'm confused. is it luck or a scheme?
Im a table player...but I always save $50 minimum if I have a bad day at the tables....find the highest buy in slot on my way out and play max coins till the money is gone.....I have hit for thousands just doing this little OCD thing.
So on a $5 machine that has a 3 coin max, you get 3 spins at $15, then 1 spin for $5. Not that great for your chances. On a $1 machine that is 3 coins max, you'd get 16 spins at $3 each, then a final spin for $2. Of course, if you hit some small returns, you'll get a few more spins. Still sounds like luck. However, I will say that betting max coins probably improves your odds slightly, especially if the previous players have not been playing max coins.
If he had all the information in his books. He would be a multi-millionaire by now.
he does have all the information in his books. i am sure he read his own books.
Except for the are machines ever due answer, you are correct. There are many machines that have must hit by jackpots. Those are due to hit prior to reaching that amount.
If you just hit the jackpot just Switch to the new machine if you preferred to stay in the casino only 5% you will hit back to back jackpot on the same machine
Are those pop in visits from the gaming commison recorded and available to the public, because I bet they are far & few between. That's a winning bet!!!

I mean his advice still seems relevant
Used to be able to 'read' the old slots from the movement of the reels, they soon learned that we knew and stopped it.
Just because it is regulated doesn't mean it isn't being taken advantage of because it would be really hard to prove
what needs to be proved? the regulations allow them to take advantage of you.
GREAT ADVICE MICHAEL. IVE READ ALL OF YOUR ARTICLES. THANK YOU !
If the operators can set a given win rate through changing a chip, how does that work with every spin being 100% random..how is the casino edge engineered then?
you answered your own question. they are not random, of course.
Great video. All those myth questions are ones I always thought.
do you mean everything i thought was a myth has been wrong the whole time?!
Question about machines "due to hit". Your response is that "there is no such thing as a machine is due to hit". What about machines that advertise "machine must hit by (blank, either some amount or by certain number of spins). How can they make such a claim if each spin is entirely independent?
You still don’t know when it will hit. And even if it is relatively close like say it’s at $9800 for a $10k jackpot, you still might spend more than $10k to win it. If the machine is linked to other machines with the same jackpot you still might not win it because another player might snatch it away from you while playing the same game. In most cases it would still be a guaranteed win but those numbers only go up a few pennies each spin on a $5 bet for example. Say it goes up 5 cents for each $5 bet. For every $1000 played, it would go up $10. It would take $10k to go up $100. There is no guarantee that would be enough. Granted you’d most likely get some wins playing that many spins but you still might not hit the jackpot and still lose money overall.
I have never lost a dime to a slot machine. I have also never played one either.
Smart! Casinos weren't built on winners.

Why watch the video then? Lmao
Is this a re post from around ten years ago? Feels like I've seen it

NO!
Advantage slot player's have an edge. Some machines at times fall into player's favor as bonus symbols remain on machine until bonus is hit.
are you saying that advantage players have an advantage. i did not know that.
Yes. The casino makes money on every machine but at certain times the player has the edge. Once small jackpot or bonus games are won the machine removes all Bonus Symbols. In Vegas there may be 30K Slot hustlers and at least 5K working the Strip and Diwntown at any time. California Casinos same thing. It is mo secret.

Computer reels can be as long as the software designer makes them, not like the old school real reels.
Sometimes you don’t see the trigger symbols for severs dead spins or the round fireballs with the amounts on them for a long time.
Other slot techs talk about the internal accounting ledger contained within slot machines and that when the ledgers hit a certain dollar amount, the machines trigger a more likely win scenario in order to balance the ledger. Is this false then?
Yes it is false!
perhaps it's just happenstance, or some other sort of magic, but every time there's a home game in Detroit, (Pistons, Red Wings, Lions) the slot machines at our local casino's, all located within just a few minutes from the stadiums , seem to go "cold". The machines are all the same. However, the client can choose the payback percentage from a range. Maybe those places have higher payback percentages than casinos. But like the guy said, these percentages are seen only over huge sample sizes, for example the random testing they do is over hundreds of millions of spins. Unless you are playing for that long, your individual session can go in any direction
@@kuruptzZz No. Some slot machines are different than others are.
@@Steveman27 In what way exactly? Like I said, the only difference I am aware of is the client specifying a rate of return. Sometimes you have a lucky session, sometimes you don't. That's how it goes anywhere

@@mike196212 I met a high limit player who was in Las Vegas playing a 3 coin game, with a BMW as the prize. An Asian lady next to him was playing 2 coins and he said to her, "you should really play 3 coins as you will miss the grand prize if the three face cards (top symbols) come up." She said, "look play your game and I'll play mine." So he shrugged his shoulders and she continued on, eventually getting the three winning symbols. She sat and stared at the machine incomprehendingly. Passersby said, "congratulations!" and "hey way to go, that's amazing!" She sat there pleased and nodding as people stopped every now and then to take a look. She basked in the glory of the win, only she hadn't won. She'd played 2 instead of 3 coins. She was in a daze for a few minutes then talked to a slot attendant, incapable of comprehending what had just taken place. The attendant explained that she had to play 3 to win, and she'd played 2. You meet some interesting characters in casinos. I stopped advising people years ago, I simply let them play that way, rather than have any kind of argument. I've seen this twice, a major hit on a max bet machine, with someone playing one coin short. Anyway after half an hour or so, she gathered her things and said goodbye, good luck, etc. The high limit player (Mike) then made sure she was finished, "you're done - you're leaving?" she nodded and said she was, there were no reserved signs, she had left the playing area. All of this was on camera. He took a seat at the machine and 40 minutes later, the same thing, but he had 3 coins in the machine. He won the BMW. As he was from Canada, he took the cash payout, as he didn't want all the hassle at the border, he said. It was a little less than the value of the vehicle, he said, but a nice payout all the same. (I'm betting it was 20% less - they always hose you when you take the cash option) Anyway the lady came back and freaked out, the machine was locked, and the "Attendant Required" ticker tape onscreen. She flipped her lid, she was yelling and shouting. It was hers, she said. Lots of drama. The Slot manager came over and assured her they'd checked the camera's and she had left the machine, and wasn't playing at the time the reels lined up on the jackpot. The win was half an hour after she had left the playing area around the car. They usually have the car up on a platform. It was a great story, typical casino drama!
@@calsurf21 I'm not able to bring up the last words of your comment but I get the gist of what you mentioned. I'm guessing she eventually felt like crap.
there IS NO very next spin
each reel on the machine is picking random numbers 100 times a second or faster
when you hit the play button it shows the win/lose for that one instant and the random number generators keep going
If you hit the play button every 5 seconds there are 500 to 1000 random combinations that are spun thru in that 5 second interval that you did NOT hit
if the machine sits for a minute, there are 5000 to 6000 random combinations that are not hit
You really dont understand how slot machines work, and neither does anyone who says there are patterns you can find that indicate a win is imminent.
to see any pattern you would have to see all 100 combinations of numbers each second,
and you would have to see the raw numbers from the virtual reel, not the symbols on the display those numbers select, because there are multiple positions on each reel that cause the SAME symbols to be display.
YOU CANNOT PREDICT ANYTHING ON A SLOT MACHINE

EPROM was state of the art technology in 2010. It's 2023, this video is correct for 10 years ago. Server based slots are being installed in many casinos and there is no EPROM chip in the machine. That part of the RNG map to the reel position is handled by software. (EPROM is hardware, it's a 4"x6"x1" chip with pins that seat it to the main board in the slot machine.) He waits hours and hours for other players to finish playing slot machine (on the same machine), then once they're done, He will set a $20-$30 budget and play. With that method 6 out of 10, he always wins the jackpot. That's how he was able to buy a couple of houses, from the slot machine winnings. His patients pay off.

If your story is true, then your dad has just been very lucky. That "method" is not repeatable. As this video explains, modern slots are random without any regard to their previous results.
That is total nonsense, every slot machine has a random number generator number generator, as soon as you hit that button it stops on a number and that number determines whether you win or you lose or you get a jackpot et cetera.
Old recording from many years ago?
I think they made some tiny edits to update information about their website or something, but the main part of the video is old
The players club card is not a myth, when you put the card in the machine it knows how much you’ve lost/won, if you dump 10,000 into a single slot and lose all the money with the players card in it, and then you stop playing for let’s say 30 min, go back and start playing other machines with the club card and you’ll win back like 30-40 percent hitting random good spins and small jackpots, it’s all complicated psychological software programs linked to your account
No you will not. The players club system has no control over the RNG and what you are describing would be illegal in any jurisdiction with a gaming commission
Stupid!
WRONG !
Everyone's opinion is based on their experience. For that matter then must be some truth to their reasoning, Confusius say.
Notice how he talked about it all instead of saying yes or no gambling is addictive
You get two triggers. The third trigger comes on the next spin - sometimes the second next. That's NOT a random number. That's a random pattern.
People who are not informed 🙄 😒 😑
Why are all those machines in the background from the 90s ? Is that a slot museum?
I feel like all these videos are recycled. I feel like these need some updating as well.
I think they made some tiny edits to update information about their website or something, but the main part of the video is old
My advice if you have money to spend high roller slots just keep hitting the max button
im gonna give that bandit a wild spin!
The best way to win at a slot machine is don’t play. If you do play and get lucky to win more than you put it...RUN! Almost ALL slot machines are server based meaning...if it has a player’s club card the “Server” says HELLO and then the Slot Manager can tell the Slot Machine to say “Good Bye” to your money.
A strange game, Professor. The only winning move is not to play.
Lol war games!

We have our own problems with gambling regulations here in the UK, most notably the recent ban on auto-play (currently online only, auto-play is still on physical machines). But one thing I can't get my head around is why it is permitted in the US to not disclose the RTP the game is running at. It stops you from making a truly informed decision on which slot game to play.. I have a personal rule I'll never go below 94%, and usually play 96% and above. Doesn't always work out but it gives you the best chance of success.
We have information on slot machine payback percentages for US casinos, here - www.americancasinoguidebook.com/slot-machine-payback-statistics.html Your numbers seem much higher, which surprises me as I have heard that the pub machines in the UK are set very low.
@americancasinoguide the minimum is rtp 70%, this is usually pub and arcades. Casinos go from 91-96%, but very few are at the higher end. Online they tend to start new games higher rtp, then lower after the hooks have been taken.
Great Video ACG. Facts that prove the rumors are false from the experts.
The 1 question i had nor asked. If u hit say 100 bucks on a 25cent bet, would u have received the same reels had u bet say 1 dollar and hit 400 etc. Or is each bet amount a diff spin. calculation.
The random number generator, which determines results, stops at the moment you hit the spin button. It dos not care how much money you bet. So, the results would be the same, no matter how much you bet.
@@TheJackpotGents thx u, so the I should of bet higher holds water. Lol.
I have seen it where you can sit there and play and no one in the area gets and then all of a sudden a blast of bells of go off like everyone's hitting, then all of a sudden it goes quiet again.. it's like it goes in spurts... This leaves me in a few others to believe that someone is monitoring and turning on and off the machines at will. 😡
Nah! It's called variance. Sometimes machines pay out more often and sometimes less often. In the long run the machine will pay back what it is programmed to do.
Bells and whistles don't exist at slot machines nowadays. They might have existed in the 1980s and before that when they were built differently, but the more modern slot machines since the 1990s or 2000s are built differently than that.
I have a question that I've never seen answered. When you win a bonus game that involves making one or more subsequent selections, do those selections affect how much you will win in the bonus game or is it all pre-determined when you initially hit the spin button? As an example, in the old Jackpot Party slot machine where you pick gift boxes that reveal either a prize amount or the dreaded pooper, does it really matter which gift box you select, or does the game already know the amounts it will reveal no matter which gift boxes you select?
Sometimes it matters and sometimes it doesn't. We talk about this issue in this video - ruclips.net/video/hkhjZ00rsHQ/видео.html Also, there is usually a way to tell if the bonus was pre-determined and it is discussed in this newer video. However, it has changed since this video was made. Evidently, there are some games, usually made by Everi, where the amounts behind the symbols are shown, but the outcome is still pre-determined.
@@TheJackpotGents Thanks for your reply! I just watched that earlier video and was really impressed by the Ainsworth rep. Good information.
Predetermined
I believe the games where you pick progressives like mini, minor, major etc are predetermined as well. Usually heavily weighted to pick the mini.
It is pre-selected! It already knows what it is going to pay you before you select. There is really no luck in slot machines - they are all programmed and it has NOTHING to do with luck unless you say sitting down at the machine that is set to pay is luck - many people would disagree with you though. We know that 8 out of every 10 players are losers - and we know that means the house has ALL the winning cards, machines and everything else! Lets not kid ourselves here!
Nice green screen. His pocket kept switching sides though.
Maybe in the machine off the past..The new one are very programmable
Do disagree on one thing about complete randomness. They do operate in bursts paying out for an extended period then not for a long time almost like programmed as to consistent pattern to be random.
complete randomness means there will be random bursts of winning and losing.
please explain why you disagree with that.
@@DrSchor )Once saw a machine pay another jackpot out one bet after the last huge pay out. Still believe that somehow planned that way to trap people into gambling. Even when pay well get two good pays out of five compared to one out of 20 when not paying. The discrepancy to great for a machine that programmed to return a certain % of bets back. That why long time pays suddenly turn into even longer no pays if was true random be equal but get more lose then win cycles and just fact work in cycles shows somehow programmed to do so to meet machine pay out target.
well here in Tacoma used to get in tye bonus easy by stopping the spin but now it not possible the bonus will simply slide by even when stopping why is that
I used to live in Las Vegas... the way most folks win at slots is by not putting money in.

The manager does not decide what chip to put in the machine. The State Police are the ones that issue the chips. They put tape over the chip as well. If they come back to inspect the machine and it has been tampered with, the casino is fined. So no employee at the casino is allowed to mess with it. I worked in the slot industry

Question: So, if I have 700 Dollars, should I spin 1 time 700 Dollars? or 10 times 70 Dollars? What percentage is the best? 100%, 10% or what? 1%?
@sunisshining1582 well that payback percentage is in the long run so anything can happen in the short run. You're better off doing more spins for sure.
@sunisshining1582 but say you are a max bet player on penny slots. Some of those max bets are getting near $10 now. You're be better off going up to dimes and still betting the same amount you do on a penny machine
@@TheJackpotGents do you mean it is better to spin 10 Dollars at a high bet machine (with max. bet 50 dollars per spin), than to bet 10 Dollars per spin, which is the highest amount possible per spin (for a penny machine f.e.)? Sorry, my English is not perfect.
@sunisshining1582 no let me try to explain better. Say you have a machine where every credit is $0.01 and the max bet is 500 credits. That means each spin is worth $5. You would be better off finding a machine where each credit is $0.10 and betting 50 credits. It is still a $5 bet but the payback SHOULD be higher in the long run on the $0.10 machine

Do Indian casinos apply to most of these rules?
As long as they are class 3, vegas style machines yes

Should do a thing on MACHINE KENO.......can it be set to know what numbers a player is playing!
Keno results are random, just like video poker. Also, the pay table in keno, just like in video poker, is what determines the payback percentage.
@@TheJackpotGents Sooooo(thanks btw), not even at a Native Casino in Wisconsin can a Tech set the machine to know what #'s you are playing???
If you're in Vegas and looking for decent places to gamble don't go to the big fancy casinos. I always hit up the small dumpy casinos or local gas stations I always have way better payouts than any of the big casinos milking you dollar by dollar
The best way of winning something on slots is not to touch them
That’s the biggest win possible
Cool to know all this.thanj you❤
This guy is being cagey. I used to run a bar which owned it's "gray area" (wasn't covered by law, if we didn't payout. We did, bit only to people we knew wouldnt turn us in.) slot machines, before the state took them over, in 1994. I worked with state-owned machines until, 2008. (Owned a bar from 2001-2008.)
Before the state takeover, I could set the payouts by changing EEPROM chips (Electronically Erraseable Programmable Read-Only Memory.) He got that right. However, when the state took them over, they automatically set the machines to between 3% and 15% tighter (depending in the game.)
As for the odds. The odds are "set" over the lifespan of the machine, which is usually ten (10) years. Anytime before that ten year period, the payout percentage can fluctuate up to 1000% either way. (If they are on payout, the machine is taken offline and checked, or replaced.)
When the state took over the machines, they networked every machine. This means each game is linked to all the other like machines, in the state. It's like one big machine.
As for the reels. The more advanced the processor, the more "spaces", on the wheel. In 2008, (the last time I had figures), the most advanced processors could have 4,000,000,000,000,000,000 (that's 4 quintillion) spaces. The more spaces, the more chances the "house" has to win.
In closing, NEVER play slots. If you must, find a machine which has "hit", on it's last spin. When a machine "hits", it may not have hit, for it's total. The last player may have only "hit" for a percentage of the machine's intended payout.
Edit: lots if typos
Don’t forget you’re more likely to win at the casino than the mediocre slots at the local bars! If you can afford to try 100$ at the casino. Do a 2.50$ max bet works pretty well for a lot of people.
The only way to win on slots is by not playing them.

But I wonder which machines are looser?
The larger casinos in Vegas or the casinos
in little towns across the US?
My observation in watching several of the

pay better.
SO in Vegas a good rule of thumb is the bigger the casino the tighter the machines. They have to pay for all that fancy stuff somehow. but once you get off the strip, the machines generally pay much better than many other markets in the US

they can set the % payback to be very low in unregulated states, they are also not required to divulge it

I went to Empire Casino a few times.
For instance, a game like 5 treasures has 5 rows of scrolls. However, the middle scroll is not counted in the plays. You have to match the characters on the first 2 scrolls or last 2 scrolls in order to win, this severely decreases your chances of winning. These games need to be reprogrammed so that all scroll screens are counted.
What these casinos are doing is outright robbery and they should be penalized for this to the fullest extent.

Why do the same people win all the time, I think it has something to do with your players card, more than being random. I play slots every average twice a week?
If you play slots you will lose in the long run. The people who win often, simply play more often.
I agree with you.a while back the owner of Wynn casino ,is own words (the best thing they ever came out with is the players card) The casinos can tailor the game to the player.
The RUclips channel players that seem to win all the time do so because they only show the wins. Watch them do an actual livestream showing everything they do for say an hour or more and most of the time it’s an overall loss.
