I only just noticed there are literal hordes of vampires just hanging out in the background during this fight and the only reason you aren't dead is basically because they are enjoying the show.
To be fair the adventurers slaughtered an entire army of their kind on their way there so maybe they're just smart enough to realize "yeah, I ain't fucking with these dudes"
It's not too hard to get that if you take the Hero's Ring and Tentacle Idol with you (boosts it to 75% chance I think or 65% with the curse, I'm not sure if it caps below that), the only downside is then you're sacrificing other trinkets that can help out as well (or pack space if somebody gets killed or if you just swap them on right before the character is tested). Granted I think becoming virtuous outweighs the downsides, but that's just me.
It's interesting that there are two distinct variants of vampire; one that's more mosquito-like and one that's more flea/tick/mite-like. I wonder if there are different strains of the crimson curse?

I found it to be an interesting twist on vampyric creatures.. everyone thinks vampire bats are the true bloodsuckers, but then we forget about skeeters..
I had no idea there was a red key after the boss fight! H-hold on...can I still get the item? Like if I go fight the baron again, do I keep the map layout and all of the progress? Will they even be there?...... Can I even get another baron invitation after defeating them...?
Holy fuck. I did not realize these quests were THAT FUCKING LONG. At least you can leave and come back at any time, so long as you have an invitation anyway.

I always wonder and never can find the answer, how is it possible for your Mat At Arms to use that one buff endlessly? I can use it only once per whole battle on every man at arms I have.
They changed a lot of moves to be "X per battle" around the Color of Madness update. It's somewhat annoying but while the buff can't be stacked by one Man At Arms, at least it lasts the whole battle.

The hardest part of this boss fight is the dungeon itself, not so much the boss.
Well you can just bring a fresh party after finding the boss in crimson Court, so that's not a big problem.

Crimson Curse gives you penalty -10% Virtue Chance. So base chance is only 15%.

It was nerfed not long ago. Other abilities that were hit with it were jesters finale, PD vapors, and the flagellants healing abilities
