Is the Aspect more durable than the Kona? I love the weight of the Kona but I had two failures in 8 days of riding. Kudos to BRP as it was replaced under warranty with no questions asked.

@@keenanstahl yes, the BC is more durable and a little warmer than the Kona. BC series is made with a 3-ply sympatex membrane versus the Kona which is only 2-ply!

I'll never buy anything from anybody charging premium prices and having gear manufactured in china, I'd love to see some industry pros pay any attention to that

Hey friend, that's an interesting point, and I'm glad you brought it up. I'd love to support more US made products! However, I challenge you to find higher quality gear that is made in the US or educate me. I see this in the hunting world a lot. Usually "Made in the USA" is a marketing scheme. Yes, they are US companies, but they still need to source base materials like silk from other countries. When there's patents on Sympatex and Gore-Tex, you have to source it from where it's made. There's a reason every outdoor brand uses one of those, because they have no other choice. If they made their own material, they'd get sued.
The BC Series originates from Vietnam, not China, which produces some of the best quality silk in the world. Just because it's made in Asia doesn't mean it's cheap. I challenge you to do more research and to take "Made in the USA" with a grain of salt. Japan also manufacturers some of the best quality outdoor gear on the planet.
Hope you take this as an interesting discussion and not me being "snarky" because it was a good point! I am glad you brought it up. Looking forward to your counter-points. Have a great day.

@sledwyo I truly appreciate you having a well thought out comment about this topic. And I can not claim to know everything about this topic. My wish is that this topic would be at or near the top of this discussion of gear for people. I myself own almost exclusively gear made outside of the USA so take that into consideration when I'm talking, but this year I need new boots because the very expensive boots I've worn for 2 seasons have fallen apart, so I am choosing to wear an insulated pac boot made here in the USA even though it's not really a snowmobile boot. And the same will go for the rest of my gear, I will simply not buy anything, no matter how good it is supposed to be, unless those dollars are going to something that I can feel good about. NWT3K seems to be making some pretty good bib and jacket combos right here in the pnw.
      Thanks Jeff!!!
