I Made a Waterproof LEGO SAFE!

In this video, I modify my Unbreakable LEGO safe with a waterproof chamber and then put a disk reader inside it for 24 hours to see if it can still read the secret message.

24hrs in clean water didn't do much damage but I once kept a sd card reader in my pocket and the next day I put the pants in the Washing machine without taking the reader out. I realised that I have washed it with soap, dryed it and it was still in my pocket two days later 🤣🤣🤣
But when I plugged it in, it still works!!! 😱

Meanwhile, I put my phone in the wash and pretty much did the same thing and it died.
To be fair though, the reason the SD card survives is space...or rather, lack of space. There's a lot of space in a phone that the water can get into, not so much for an SD card which is mainly a chunk of plastic with metal bits glued into it so as long as you run it through the dryer, any water that touches it will evaporate in the heating process, unlike a phone where water gets trapped inside it.
edit: I realized you were talking about a card reader and...yeah, the same still applies mostly. Card readers are just chunks of plastic with metal bits glued between then and exposed openings, as long as there is heat, it will evaporate all the water so long as ports aren't covered by cover or cap.
