As a dating photographer in the Netherlands I agree with most of your points. In my experience the most important thing is to have a great vibe going on with your client and the quality pictures will roll in by itself. That together with attractive outfits will ensure those high quality shots will always appear plentiful.
^This! As a photographer, I'm mostly managing peoples emotions during a photoshoot. You can say to someone how to sit and kind of puppet them in position, but it just makes everything really look awkward and unnatural. Most of the time spent during the photoshoot I'm talking to people on location, trying to make them feel good. When people feel good -> their body language usually follows. Portrait photography is really 80% soft skills. Oh, and another tip. A lot of photographers nowadays tend to use these overprocessed, instagram like presets (aka filters) on their photos. Try to to stay clear from that and opt for photographers that have a more natural look.
Unfortunately I recently moved thousands of miles away and I don’t have any friends to bring with me but my cousin is a professional photographer (she does a lot of weddings) so it seems like she could be a good choice. Thanks for all the tips
When I look up photographers in my area they're all studio, wedding and family photographers definitely not what I'm looking. I don't live in a metro area here in California so my options are more limited.
Maybe try to find a street, candid, or event photographer. I bet there must be a couple of street photographers in your area who could be suitable for dating profile photography.
To be honest, you need many photo sessions to have great photos for dating apps. This takes time. And not every session will give the right photos or any right photo at all, is the life! Next, the editing plays an importanr role... you have to color correct well the photos, which many people don't do it well. And the photographer has to be specialised in tinder photos
Hey mate, In Sydney I have a guy I send everyone to, he does great work. In Brisbane - I always recommend myself becuase I know what shots guys need to get great results. :)
