Love the video brings back a lot of good memories. I milked cows in a tie stall barn from the time I was 12 until I sold them when I was 62. I had 108 tie stalls and usually kept about 125 dry and milking. I miss the cows and your videos are great for me to watch ! Keep it up love to see young people interested in dairy farming and willing to work as hard as you need to for this profession
OK, I am impressed !!! A little thing as you are and Woman Handling a cow 3x your size, Good for you... I have had my ass Handed to me on many different occasions by a Cow. your explanation was perfect on hardware and the bolus. We had a Stainless Steel Bolus injector, God help me if I forgot to clean it, Butt chewing is what I got if it wasn't clean. Enjoyed your video, Thanks for sharing.
Taylor I was just thinking if it would be a little easier if there was someone there to help you with the cow when you placed that plunger into her mouth, But I also wish the cows would realize that you are doing this to help them out and not hurt them I believe cows are smarter than some people think
Always a fun job given pills to cows 😆👍 amazing what a cow will eat something Would be interesting to see a video on the bale unroller in action can’t say I’ve seen one before Keep the videos coming always interesting to see others dairy farms
Nice job, I had to give a couple cows magnets. They got it when I was green chopping and got some wire in the chopper. I tried to pick out of the wagon but I must have missed some but the cows found it.
I raise a couple Holstein steers every year for butcher and a year ago bought a couple angus heifers. Raised on a dairy and had couple head my whole life since grandmothers dairy farm sold after her passing in the 80’s. I have always bought my hay in small bales. Everybody asks why not buy and feed round bales. Not knowing what in them is why. I feed small squares and pull them apart really good and check for things when I feed them. Can’t tell you how much stuff I’ve kept them from eating. Holsteins will eat anything, the angus not so much is what I’ve seen since my first time owning them.
@tayfarms Hey Taylor, I love your videos and I'm slowly working my way through them. Someone can learn a lot from you. You are a dedicated country girl, no doubt. I always thought that I was but I'm not...lol. I just live in the country. I've been wondering how old you are. You look to be early 20's.
Who picks up your milk mine goes to Agri Mark co-op and into Cabot cheese I can sell raw milk here in CT can you sell any raw milk in Maine I'm getting 8 dollars a gallon for it it's nice to make extra income
Excellent job treating her and explaining what you are doing.

Hi! Our milk is shipped to Oakhurst Dairy. We are not allowed to sell raw milk as a farm who already ships to a dairy. For legal reasons I’m suppose…
Super filmik. 👍
Thank you!
