  • A superb Illusion performed by Paul Daniels on one of his "Secrets" Shows in 1995. A great example of how Illusions should be performed. If you are a fan of Paul's please feel free to email me. Please leave a comment.

5:44 illusions that involve boxes and skewers are so much better when the skewers seemingly come out on their own. It makes them a lot more convincing that somebody is still inside the box, even if it's done by a mechanism of some sort. The perfect version of the geometrix illusion would have all the skewers and tubes come out by their own, without the help of the magician.

There's more space in that cabinet than you might think.

Of course there is but the illusion is that there is not

this is a much better presentation than the old flash paper one.
Lovely platform... nothing to so with the trick though.

This is not the Paul Daniels Magic Show but another show he did called Secrets.

Yes, you are correct but technically its virtually the same as it followed on from the Paul Daniels Magic Show and was in the same format but just a different type of show.

@GrandDizzy I'd really rather not know; the explanations of these sorts of illusions are always far more mundane than the effect of the trick itself. Good illusion it was, though.

It has something to do with under the box
When she gets inside she spred her legs
If we are talking about mirrors the are under the stairs
I think she got out the second he closed the door
By the way before she got out he moved the box on the same place from the beginning

That’s not true. You obviously know nothing about illusion principles.

      Maybe you're right.
But I know something about DElusion, which is what you have if you think I am going to participate in a discussion about some tricks on a video I commented 14 fucking years ago you lunatic..

I think i've finally managed to work out how this was done, i'm not going to say how, because only lowlife cockroaches and worms would ever attempt to reveal how magic tricks are done, regardless of if they have the right or wrong solution, anyway I think i'm right and both Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee deserve equal credit for their superb performance of this magic trick.

The illusion is great, but the shackles don't contriubute in the slightest becausr they look like theyre held by magnets, and therefore easy to break loose from. The single biggest improvement to this illusion is to add a set of very large padlocks, real or otherwise, so it looks like she's trapped
