15:20 im pretty sure your rows are getting smaller because you aren't crocheting the final stitch in each row, its called 'reducing' and is used for circles and other 'odd' shapes lol. It could also be your tension changing between the begining and the end of the row. Keep practicing and you'll be great! :)
The reason that your crochet is going in to a triangle is because when you get to the end of the line, you probably don’t finish it till the end. I recommend counting how many are in a line. I hope this helps!

Crochet is hard at first but try practicing on small pieces of yarn work on chain , double stitch. Take your time or you will make a mistake if you try to speed it.
I also crochet the big yarn is a little bit better but trust me it took me 3 months on top of my job to do. But you might have more time and take it slow trust me.

For the “blanket” when you get to the end of the row chain two instead of 1. Also do pull so hard
It’s easier to use a hook and also get someone that u know who knows how to crochet to help u learn how to crochet
