- While your budgie is safe at home, the wilderness does not assure him that kind of protection. The moment you release him (or he frees himself) into the wild, a variety of ferocious predators await him.

Have you ever wondered what happens to pet budgies outside?
They starve or get eaten
@Saddam Husseintroll
They die that's horrible thing I hate when people do it and argue without knowing what they are talking about
Gat, Is one depredator 👹
Probably nothing good
I live in a village in the Italian countryside. Today we had a buzzard 😱 trying to get through the garden window as it saw my budgies! We never had this before...It was a terrifying experience for the budgies and myself! Can you imagine if they were to escape in the wild?! No chance to survive! This video is very useful, thank you and it should be shown to all budgies owners as a must watch!
Oh my, that is a horrible experience for you and you budgies, we have a hawk here and my parrolettes witnessed him attacking a pigeon while sitting on the window sil in my living room, luckily the pigeon escaped. Still shocking 😐
❤❤❤ hope you and the buzzard are all ok!
It's really horrible.
Very scary
That is a horror story. You need always look out for windows and doors no matter if they are in the cage or not.
Aww what a great video. I hope people become more aware on how to love, care, and be mindful about their surroundings when handling budgies! I love that you balance a nice healthy diet for your budgies and treats! I hope these videos teach people how to care and love budgies! 🐦💕❤
Thank you so much! Yeah, sharing my knowledge and care with the world! Budgies deserve to be happy and loved
Very informative video and a very important topic to talk about. Although I think a change of the video name might be in order because as it reads now it suggests that: you are releasing budgies outside to die. Which is a complete opposite to the message you wish to share with us but I think it might catch people by surprise or bring in some unwanted attention. I think a disclaimer such as: Important topic to talk about: Releasing Budgies Outside do Die - could straighten it out a bit. Sorry if I come across as nosy but my heart skipped a beat when I saw the video name before my brain realized WHO is it that is posting this and that it would never ever happen :D
well, that was the point! To get attention. Sadly, I got messages, That I should release my own budgies outside, to be free. That is insane! Releasing Budgies outside is the death penalty to them. Keeping budgies safe and healthy is my main priority, as other my pets. Wish you all the best! Take care!
@@alenaxp People are so odd sometimes...wishing someone would release their pets and family members to die outside :( Worse is people actually do that. Poor birds.
That would be like turning your beloved child loose on the streets. 😐
My flock is kept well inside my apartment. Multiple doors make it extremely unlikely that they will escape. I also have been training them to come to me from 10 meters away.
That is great, to have bonded with your budgie
1 time my budgie flied out of window, but luckily in next day she came back, she was ok. But in 3 months later she got sick. then she died 😔
In the uk we have bird flu in the wild, so we cannot bring in apple branches for perches which is a shame because I think natural perches must be better for their feet.
I hate that people just release buggies out in the wild. 😮💨
I think even your own Mr Snowflake was an abandoned budgie but thankfully you rescued him so that he could thrive and start his own happy family with Nibbler.
I feel so happy and lucky for having Mr Snowflake ❤❤
My cousins conure once ended up flying out of the house probably a door was left open by someone else in the house for a few seconds and he escaped. My cousin went to find him and found him at their local park. He was never the same, he was a very calm nice bird before and then he became an aggressive bird but he loves my cousin because my cousin rescued him. Yes house birds are not meant for the wild.
yeah, budgies are kept in the home, should never be outside!
One of my budgies flew away because I stupidly forgot to check the cage doors when I took them outside for cleaning cage, I hope everyone who sees this remember to double check all openings before you take them outside or open the garden door etc.
:( Only for a split second and they are gone. Stay strong
Never let your bird go because they might die just take care of your bird
yeah, keep windows and doors closed! 🐥
Luar biasa keindahan burung parkit love😊👍
I'm getting stressed just at the idea of my buddies getting out somehow. Can't believe people abandon them like that
That is my nightmare 😭
I have 2 budgies that I found outside and never found owner..I've also found a lovebird and lucky for him it was from a close by building and owners were extremely happy to get him back..
When my neighbors found a blue budgie on their driveway he was in a state of near complete exhaustion. It was a joy to bring him into our home. He is a great companion for the budgie l already have. I urge people not to release a budgie into the wild! My Bluie was extremely lucky! An animal shelter or bird Sanctuary can be contacted if for any reason a bird can no longer be kept at home.
Very informative. Thanks for these information
Great advice, Alen 😍
This would be true in the past since they where caught from nature but nowadays they live with us and they will most likely die outside
Here in Spain, they have banned the sale of parakeets and all domestic pets, I'm glad because many people let birds escape because they don't know how to take care of them, when I go to the store there are many photos of lost birds and I don't like that, Most of them are bought for the elderly to keep them company or children in which they are neglected and lose them, When there was the pandemic, I rescued a parakeet that was on the street where I live doing a typical budgie song, I heard it and as soon as I saw it I went out for it, It hurt me a lot to see him out there, I couldn't keep it so I took it to the store and she said she would see if the owner came or if he didn't give it to his partner.
My nextdoor neighbour has budgies outside, minus temperature to high temperature, they've endured well, I think we put too much emphasis on heat and cold, now if you're putting your bird out in snow, that's a different story. Flight training can stop budgies flying off into the unknown
Wow 😍😍😍😍😍🦜🦜🦜🦜🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I wouldn't want to think of this awful thought. Send them to me. I will love and take care of them. I love Birds, and any kind of animal. I'm just a push over for animals and wild life.
Woah nice information thanks sir!!
Partner, I appreciate you. Thankyouverymuch from l.a california
Thanks for the video but can you post a video of how to tame two budgies in a same cage please
Some budgies can learn to adapt to living together in the same cage and befriend each other but there are cases in which budgies simply wont get along no matter how hard you try because one will be more dominant and bully or frighten the other. Even on this channel, Alen had to keep Cookie in a separate cage because he really couldn't adjust to living in the same cage with other budgies, although most of the other budgies seem fine with living together in the same cage.
On my way home today, I saw a budgie on the sidewalk while I was driving. I parked and went to her. She came to me. And is clearly well trained/tamed. I am making effort to find her owner in case she was lost accidently. I understand that things can happen. But if I can't find her owner, she will have a good and safe home with me.
i stuck my bird on my shoulder 20 yrs ago opening a door to show him the outside and he stayed on my shoulder
Hi
Soy de México
Y ten unas buena noches
At most some would surviveif they escaped in Australia and if they find a flock of wild budgies. But if they have non-green colouration, they will be easily hunted down. In colder countries they won't survive the winter
wild budgies are also racist. a blue or any other mutation that isn't predominantly green/yellow won't be accepted into a wild flock.
Love from Bangladesh
Your filming skills are best 🤌
Thank you so much!
This was a much needed video, thank you Alen!
Happy to help
I can't believe there are people out there thinking it's O.K. to release a domesticated pet budgie outside. If they want their pet/s to die that's the surest way to have that happen. Even wild budgies struggle to survive in the Australian outback, their natural habitat. Budgies don't live in snowy environments, only semi-arid outback areas of Oz. Wild budgies only live about an average of 2 years due to predators like Wedge-Tailed Eagles, feral cats and Goannas (huge reptile lizards). Gift the dear little budgies to someone who will look after them properly. They are a very friendly, chatty & social animal. Even the wild budgies are curious about people and will sometimes alight on cars to peer into the interior....happened to me.😊🐨🦘
С удовольствием смотрю Ваши видео!)
Hello. Hello
hi sir hand feed video pls sir. I have a many chicks. but no mother feed
Thank You for making this video!! Its hard to believe that people do this!
Pet budgies are actually not thought now to survive in the while like wild budgies without this the budgies can not know what to do and will die you see, pet budgies are born inside of pet rescue facility’s but
Hi, please make on budgies scaly mint disease please my budgie has infected 😭
i cant wait for the video
is not ''hard'' for a domesticated bird to survive being released, its almost impossible.
most bird's survival techniques are behaviors learned from the parents, these birds dont have that, they may not even be afraid of cats if they were living with one, may not be afraid of birds of prey,
they dont know they even have to search for food, they are used to food magically appearing in their cage.
the only real chance they have to survive, and this often happens, is that since domestic birds are not afraid of humans, they might try and get close to people, and people will often take them and feed them and prolly adopt them.
also had seen a budgie that birds took in up in a nest near my house for a long time
Cookie 😭😭😭😭
This grouping itself is a form of protection, not predation!
Other than this, thx for a great vid, Alen
Mencata tus videos
my bird is skard of the outsade. one time yogi was going to my grama's house so we can go on avcachin we put him close to the door and he fluw away.
How to keep birds in ac room
Yeah it's so stupid. Why do people think this is ok?
No, people don't release them willingly. They are idiots if they do 😔
can you get out parasites of their noses and its that bad for humans?
Entiendo lo del Pitiquito de naturaleza

What about avian flu when pet birds are kept outside? Is it really a kindness to have them outside at all? Educate me please.
Wow
The birth very good, i'have five and very cotorros.🐣💟
Yes.🐦🐦
Alex I have a serious problem with my parrot s they.r throwing their own egg I tried to keep them.back in their cage but their mother throws them again and again what should I do plzzzz tell me
And right now I have no incubator for keeping them
warm
Are the eggs fertile? If so separate the mother and only have the father to keep them warm
Hello. I’m in desperate need of some advice please. My dad passed away & I took on his beloved budgie (Tommy). I’ve followed along with a lot of your vids for advice, but, I’m trying to learn about millet. I give Tommy a millet every other day, but, I’m finding it’s very dry. Is it suppose to be so dry? If not, how do I keep it hydrated whilst it’s in store. Thankyou for your very helpful vids xxxx
Generally, millet is dry and looks dry. Nonetheless, budgies love it. Don't be afraid to give Tommy some millet as he will probably love it, and love you for it. However, millet is meant to only be a treat. It is not healthy to give budgies millet as a daily feed. They have additional dietary needs that cannot be met with a straight millet diet. Best of luck with your little budgie friend Tommy. 👍❤
@@paulad.4578 Thankyou so much. Xxxx
WHYY WOULD YOU DO THAT

Me thinking about the budgies I released when I was younger thinking I did the right thing 😢
This is a really dumb idea to release budgies into the wild, harsh environment. A crow or a cat would mercilessly kill them... 😭 RIP to all those cute budgies who were released into a world of black birds that would eat them
Budgies was from Australia from the wild if born in England not use to this environment 🤔
❤️👍
Do you recommend clipping the budgies wings?
No I dont
I don't either. My newest bird had clipped wings. And hes been more anxious than my other birds. Thankfully his flight feathers are coming in now. And has getting around the cage a lot easier.
omg
so lie for die
I Do Not Think This Is A Good Decision.
Don’t alen please!!
Why narrator sounds like Fallout SPECIAL trailers?
