@Splidtter Wasn't that bad top 10 he won it well deserved. End of the day they rode it all the same....a crash doesn't make another's win unfair....it makes it more epic! Weather was consistent no excuses for this one! Greg is a master at his own bike setup!
@Splidtter Simply he is nearly 40 years old and still smashing it! 👏 he could ride whatever I wouldn't care! He is South Africa with the heart of a Lion!
Epiloguoe: This mans world cup career started here in South africa nearly a quarter of a sentury ago.Greg Minnaar has competed at a 144 UCI world cup races, at 68 venues across the globe, with over 80% of those finishes being made inside the top 20. He used his incredible talent to first brake into the world cup top 10 at big bear in 1999. Minnaar has gone on to have a 109 top 10 finishes, 81 Podiums, and a record breaking 22 World cup wins. He won his first world cup race in caprun in 2001 at the age of just 18. Taking his 22 World cup win in lousa portugal a staggering 20 Years later. Its not just world cups tho where this man is outstanding, Greg has competed in 24 UCI world championchips, he has 3 Bronze medals, 4 silver medals and has got to call himself world champion 3 times. On any track on any given day in any conditions this man will perform. He has beaten every other world cup winning rider that has dared to challenge him in his career. And huge gaps dont bother this man, formaly known as the fresh prince of big air. In 2003 Minnaar rode the red bull rampage, taking #7 in the most Inconic freeride events of a generation. At 39 tho this man shows us that its not about the numbers, this is a career decorated with more success than we will ever see again. That is why they call Greg Minnaar, the greatest of all time!
@@Tequila628 I am not aware that the Bronson ever came in this yellow color. With the white decals I think that is the Megatower. I have the frame at home myself and just build it up.

Showing now signs of stopping. The GOAT without a doubt!
My hellcat pro shoes broke and 5.10 doesn't care one bit. The clipless bit is weak AF. The receiving end literally fell out of my soles. Buy some Ride Concepts instead peeps
Sorry to hear you are having problems, let's see if we can help. The receiving receptacle is made to be replaceable incase they get mud in them and get cross threaded. Please take the sock liner out and pull the metal receptacle out and replace with a new piece from you local bike shop.
@@fivetenThank you for the reply. The shoes were never cross threaded, no mud or moisture. Been riding in the AZ desert. They fell apart with perfectly normal use. The cleat receivers just ripped out. They were a year or two old, but a good mtb shoe should last me more than a few dozen miles..
He's the GOAT...so far. I'm not so sure about that claim that we will never see another rider as successful. Loic Bruni seems to be on pace to surpass Greg; if he can stay healthy and have a similarly long career. One of the greatest things of being a W.C.-DH fan is being a fan of all these amazing riders; and being happy for whichever one wins that round. We're guaranteed a great show every time!
I think Greg is not only the Goat because of his Gold medals, but more because of all the year he stayed in this sport, as all changed so much that barely any old school rider is still doing this. ( Steve peat,Sam Hill, Nico voulioz, Rob roskopp, they all where crazy in their time, but they just didnt manage to get through the thik layer of changes to the sport. Greg did, so all those young guys have to prove that they can do so as well...
Nico is an incredible rider and no denying his 7 world champs wins! With Greg's World Cup winning record, his 4 world championship titles, 4-Cross wins and Red Bull Rampage appearance he is worthy of the GOAT title in our opinion - but hey, we might be a bit bias ;-)
Dude's been winning world championships longer than I've been alive
This aged well! 4x World Champ!
Long live the GOAT! I hope he keeps shredding into his 50s
He cemented this title this weekend. Still killing world champs, 18 years after his first win.
congrats Greg Minaar!
The GOAT!
Glad to have been alive during this golden age of mountain biking. Greg, thanks for the entertainment.
He has kept us on the edge of our seats for decades! What a racer!
As an old guy who rides bikes, GO GREG!!! Yes, I'm 11 years older than he, but he's my hero.
Age doesn't matter, Greg is and inspiration to young and old - Keep on riding!!!
This truly was the greatest raw of all time!
The interview after win #4 was brilliant. He says "I just love it!". I've got another 15 years on him and love it just as much. All hail the GOAT!
What a legend !
DH royalty. A god amongst men. A gentleman. A champion. A role model. And an actual influencer.
