I sure miss being a kid in the 70’s and a teen/young adult in the 80’s, I lucked out on the timing. Grew up out east, what I’d give to be riding bikes all day going to Swimland pool and Shakeys pizza Parlor, Main Lanes and Holiday lanes, all hold great memories. Even people that were older in the 70’s still say those were the best years.

I love this series thank you WOSU. I was born in Columbus at Grant Hospital in 1943. I lived on the Hilltop as a young child. I have fond memories of that time. Both sets of my grandparents lived on the Hilltop until they passed away. My grandmother's and mother would take me downtown to Lazarus Department store for shopping and lunch. I have many fond memories of my time in Columbus. I have spent most of my adult life in Texas. Watching your series is a trip back home for me. Thank you again for that.

Such a great series. I'd love to see the archive photo segment as a separate video so I could share it on my blog.

These ppl never read about the great migration of "Okies' from OK to CA in the 30s. Buy a copy of 'Grapes.' Thyneyes will see the Glory.
