- Minibuzz Uganda is a daily TV program aired on NTV in Uganda. Every morning we pick up random commuters and with them we discuss the news, current affairs and issues that affect their lives on a day to day basis.
We record the show every morning and broadcast that same evening.

Hi pple. What Anne is trying to bring out is what the Ugandan society percieves as beautiful. Pple go as far as bleaching their entire bodies so that they can feel beautiful. And some companies actually prefer to hire light skinned girls cos they stand out brightly at their receptions even when they have vegetable heads. In schs always lighter girls got lead roles in acting with less effort. The dark ones wd work really hard to be seen.

+linda brown she actually is not demonising skin colour, she is accentuating an aspect of Ugandan culture that is specific to certain tribes, where he comes from, she is alluding to where he comes from rather than to his skin colour, if ugandan, you can pick what she is alluding to, some of these jokes mean , ugandan-specific themes, easily misconstrued by those in other cultures or contexts...
Don't make too much of this. I'm good with whatever is meant on any level. With certain subjects and topics the relevance and connotation is international not just local. (This is why Kansiime's comedy appeals to more than a Ugandan audience) The "Black is Beautiful" mantra goes back to the 60's, I'm sure long before you were born. It was a mantra for change, raising of consciousness, pride and self-awareness. No demonizing of any kind whatsoever was intended or inferred on my part. Hope this explanation is helpful..............
