BT KNOT | Alternative to Yucatan KNOT | Extremely Strong Braid to Leader Fishing Knot

A knot I have been using for a while, so much faster than most of the others, you need to experiment with the number of wraps, especially on thinner braids, even as much as 15 or more, also wet the knot when pulling up and with heavier lines use gloves to really pull up tight. Awesome quick easy super strong knot

That is step by step the exact same as the Yucatan knot. That being said, it's absolutely incredible and it's the best knot I've learned in years

Back in the 90’s we called that the ”Worm Knot”. Last year I cut off and replaced that knot on my heavy set ups. On 80 lb and larger mono the knot is too fat and can stick/rub when passing through the rods tip roller. FG passes through without issue so I switched to using it.

Yes, but as mentioned above some find difficulty tying an FG Knot knot. Use many variations of the FG Knot without any issues.I have Had 40kilo GT's and 130kilo Bluefin, YellowFin, Roosters on the knot demonstrated in the video without any issues. My back and knees fail before my knots. Tie the knot you are most confident in.

What I like about this knot is that the bite or the wrapping of the line ends up being mono-filament over double strand braid. The reverse of this knot, has the monofilament line being grabbed by the braid, wrapping around & biting the mono (double strand loop). In that scenario, I prefer the Alberto knot for braid over mono.
