This is what a sandwich should be. I mean, in its simplicity. Totally respect the sandwiches you make with a process but... Two bits of bread and something reachable from a cupboard is what a sandwich should be
Back in the day a Sandwhich was meant to be something that you could slap together in 5 min and take with you to your job for lunch. So had to be simple and had to keep at room temp for 3-5 hrs before you ate it.
this was a time before fast food was everywhere and you could get lunch there etc

well a frankfurter sandwich is basically my after-work snack most days. 2 slices of bread, 2 sausages and some mustard. No onions or anything that needs cutting-
I will never not need sandwich content.
Looks great. As a kid I used to have a similar sandwich. It was one piece of bread folded to hold the uncut dog, mayonnaise, coarse ground mustard, onion and sauerkraut. That is what my grandpa who grew up in the depression called a picnic lunch

I am so happy about subscribing to this channel, I have been a sandwich guy since I was a kid, i'm 61. The generation before me all came from Italy in the 50's and 60's and sandwiches were a very big favorite. It's very cool to get all this inspiration!
I'd "plus it up" by leaving the frankfurter whole, putting it on a split roll and then adding your condiments 😊

Simple and quick, looks good.
It's good but i suggest cutting them in slices the long way give them a quick sheer or fyr, put on butter toast with spring onion, pepper, salt, and English mustard or something spicy. worked well. American mustard can work to but kind doesn't work texture wise imo
I made this because I had all the ingrediants in the house but it was suprisingly good! It deserved more than a 5 1/2. I would give it an eight.
In my country, 'frankfurt sausage' is a totally different thing
If we didn't have any hotdog buns, mother sliced the wieners lengthwise and used sliced bread as the bun. We thought it was pretty cool. Also, hamburger buns were used the same way.
