  • "Wormholes is one of the two short films (the other being The Green Beret, which is found on RUclips) created and produced by Spongebob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg at CalArts in 1992. Aside from it and The Green Beret having been exhibited internationally in such festivals as Annecy, Hiroshima, Ottawa, Oberhausen and the Los Angeles Animation Celebration, Wormholes has not surfaced online in any form." - From the Lost Media Wiki

      @guilldea 3 года назад +32

      I don't know if there's much to get but there are several mentions to relativity, the formulas you see are part of them. Relativity states (among other things) that the passage of time and measure of space we perceive is different depending on our velocity, the faster you move the "slower" time moves for you and space appears compressed in the direction of travel (of course we don't experience this in our daily lives since you'd have to be moving at velocities close to that of the speed of light). You can see that compression illustrated in the cows for example

    The early sketches by Stephen reminds me a lot of Bill Plympton's creations.

      London Jackson I love that. I also really like how 2 houses in this are the kind seen throughout the Bikini Bottom. I think in the episode Reef Blowers when SpongeBob sucks up all of the water, the colors of the background and the sparse landscape resemble the world in Wormholes.
