I’m sure you don’t get a lot of comments from men but as I am a retired granddad your videos have given me a great new hobby. I have completed scarves for all 16 of our grandchildren, hats would be a great compliment to them. You have been a great inspiration. Do you just increase the number of pegs and rows for youngsters and teens? Thanks.
I made one adult sized hat and talked about it here. msyarn.ca/mock-cable-beanie-adults-chunky-flexee-loom/ I used 54 pegs. I first decreased from 54 to 36 pegs by removing every third stitch, like in the video. Then I decreased again, this time from 36 to 18 stitches, by removing every other stitch. That worked for me, but feel free to try your own decrease.
I love your videos, I have been able to complete many of your patterns. The cast on you are doing here, why or why not use for other patterns? Thank you!!
The chain cast on is a good cast on. I avoid it though if I'm doing a rib stitch using a u-knit stitch simply because I like my V's to be tight and closed up. The chain cast on is good when doing a garter stitch, I find. I am glad you've completed many patterns.
I'm trying to teach myself how to loom through you tube videos. I love your style of tutorial as it moves rather quickly, but fully explains each step. I have a question though...why do work counter clockwise on a round loom. Is there a specific reason or is it just knitters preference which way they go?
The flexible loom helps with making the top less holey. But you can definitely do this pattern on a regular plastic loom. If I'm using a regular loom, when finished, I will pull on individual stitches in order to reduce any holes. What loom are you thinking of using? How many pegs are there?
@@hellomsyarn I can't answer for this person, but I plan on using the loops and threads 36 peg loom. The age of the child i plan to make this for is approximately 5.

You're correct: I don't get a lot of comments from men. Thanks for taking the time. Yes, just increase the pegs and rows to make larger sizes.
nice and easy to follow thanks
Love it! Would love to make myself one in adult size.😉
Me too!
What size 5/8” loom do you think would be used for an adult?
instagram.com/p/CUkYXMDFT8A/? you can see my Instagram here. I used 54 pegs and 34 rounds for my adult version.
Thank you
I love your videos. They are very informative and easy to follow. Thank you. For the adult version of this hat, how would the crown decrease work?

can i used the 36 peg round loom for this?
Was this one box or two
Is the chain cast on the same as a crochet cast on?
No, but sometimes they get mixed up. I believe that the "crochet cast on" looks like a crochet foundation chain.
Do you have to use the flexible looms? Or any loom?
