Jake Diertay honestly don’t think they’re underrated, everyone that knows of them rates them as an amazing band.
I just don’t think they’ve fully hit the scene outside of Australia yet (they have a good following, but I feel it’s going to explode at some point and get bigger and bigger).
Yeah not sure how they go overseas. They have sold out 3 or 4 full Australian tours in a row! I remember seeing them in a pub with about 10-20 people when they first started 🤣

Saw them as a support with wage war in a more intimate venue in GR Michigan and they absolutely killed their set. So underrated. And the new album is such a masterpiece

Like everyone else is saying, Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher. I'm not a fan of the overall genre, but this song breaks barriers. Relentless. Also Polaris have created a diverse album this time around, not sticking to the norm, making big moves, an yes you should def tour with them in OZ

Funny, I’m seeing this video and comment in 2023, about a month after August Burns Red and Polaris toured Australia after Fatalism came out
This song was such a heavy hitter, and one of the heaviest tracks Polaris have released.
It’s such an awesome track because it shows Jake’s (the clean vocalist) different ranges and styles, he has some brutal screams when necessary (shown in Hypermania too).
Massive fan of the album, they’re my favourite band and they just keep releasing incredible tunes.

New veil of Maya is amazing. Also all 3 new currents tracks are extremely good, especially from a vocal stand point.
New Slaughter to Prevail (Demolisher) is super hype. If you want different, check that out tbh. And I'm not even a huge fan of theirs, but dang, this song is sweet.
Iv never seen an artist in metal music who respects other artists like you do. That means i wasnt wrong when i chose abr as my favorite band at the of 16, eight years ago. ^^ + from the other side of planet!! Much love and respect...

The Mortal Coil blew my fucking mind. It was like perfect metalcore but with the modern take.
Like how every Killswitch Engage song from the mid 2000s was just an absolute banger. Riffs, solos, breakdowns, clean choruses, outrageously heavy shit with groove. But most importantly and impressively, PERFECT song structure. The composition, every time, was just picture perfect.
Polaris is really something special.

I was meant to be seeing Polaris...TONIGHT!!! Along with Varials, Alpha Wolf and Currents. Genuinely so gutted right now, so this video helped, but also hurt to watch at the same time 😭

Making my rounds of musicians reacting to this song, because it's so fun watching people get blown away by the rawness but also somehow at the same time absolute tight production on this song. Fuckin just love this damn song to death. At this point I drive and listen only to Polaris, and it never gets old.
Obviously you should come to Australia again. The Constellations tour was so awesome and one of the best nights I can remember.

It was definetly my favourite track off their latest album. The break down, the verse riffs, and the dudes vocals were just all on point. And as you can imagine its absolute chaos live. And yes to an ABR / polaris tour down under!

Yes, please tour with Polaris and bring them to the US! Glad you mentioned buying the album, it won’t disappoint! All of this is Fleeting is probably my favorite song from the album but Martyr (Waves) is a totally different kind of song it’s chill with some heavy parts. I love it!!

Hell yeah! Got to see Polaris end of Feb on their headline tour in Sydney, right before the rona really got crazy. It went absolutely off! The energy was wild, the crowd was insane. One of the best shows I have seen.

So hyped to see this because The Death of Me is gonna probably remain not only one of my favorite 2020 album releases but one of my all time favorite albums. This song is incredible and honestly at best is my 7th favorite song off the album. The album just fucking delivers at every second.
Aussie here. If you toured with Polaris I would be there. Got to see them a bunch last year. With Crystal Lake, Wage War and Architects. Seeing them with you guys would be a crazy night.

I love this sound and this album. _The Death of Me_ has some really awesome breakdowns throughout. I remember when Wage War wrote songs like this (Alive, Youngblood, Deadweight) that gave me similar feelings.
One of my favorite bands (along with ABR), and saw them in NY in the Fall. First time I heard them was on an ABR Spotify recommendations list. Their previous album "The Mortal Coil" is fucking amazing, top 5 for me all time. "Casualty", "Sonder", "Lucid"...the whole album is really, really good. 100% need to tour with them, preferably in the US!
I'm totally on board with you, I like these guys but it isn't anything I haven't heard before so it's hard to be super impressed. I probably wouldn't pay to see them live but they'd be a really good opening act. Also side note, I love the little visual effects you've been putting in your videos hahaha

@@jakobfel2 sadly nobody tours where I am which is mainly why I'm careful with who I pay to see play 😔 in actuality if I got to see shows regularly I'd probably pay to see as many bands and artists as I could
