    I won't lie. I teared up when they handed out presents. What SWEET episode with 9 darling children.... (And I typically loathe kids.)

    That was a nice touch at the end of the show. It was probably Bud's idea. Roy Campanella was the HOF catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Tremendous power hitter. Thanks for the video.

    20:12- 20:36: Kitty's question about the clown's nose was hilarious, you could tell it was set up for a punch line and #1 nailed it perfectly. Kitty- "#2, what is your nose made out of? #2- Plastic, Kitty, How does it stay on #3? #3, by glue, Kitty- #1, how do you get it off? #1, pull. That was classic, I was cracking up.

    @11:18 Tom mentions "Thigpen," who most likely is not Earl, but Ed Thigpen, legendary drummer for the equally legendary Oscar Peterson. (He says "Earl" during voting, whom I haven't heard of, but there very may well be one.) My grandfather was friends with Ed and I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Thigpen and seeing him play drums. Such a wonderful episode!

    Peter Keepnews, #2 in the first game, became a jazz critic and record producer, and is still active as such. I have a Barry Miles album at home, but he doesn't play drums like he did on this show on it. Also, it's Ed Thigpen, not "Earl."

  • @retrorex
    @retrorex 8 лет назад +2

    Come to think of it, Barry doesn't play drums on the album I mentioned below. He plays piano only on this album (recorded in 1971), but the drummer he uses (Silverlight) was only 14 years old at the time.
