Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen (Kazakh: Дінмұхаммед Қанатұлы Құдайберген, Dinmuhammed Qanatuly Qudaıbergen; born 24 May 1994), known professionally as Dimash Kudaibergen, is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as contemporary music, and is known for his exceptionally wide vocal range.[1][2][3][4][5] He has performed songs in twelve different languages.[6]
Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music.[7]
He gained significant popularity in Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries in 2015 upon becoming the Grand Prix winner of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus.[8] He rose to fame in China with his participation as a "wildcard competitor" in Hunan TV's Singer 2017 (Chinese: 歌手2017)[9] finishing second overall.

I'm pretty confident the classical Dimashes were pre-recorded. He had just finished singing Story of one Sky and had stormed off the stage, leaving his mic behind. He was exhausted. One either side of the 3 big screens were small hologram boxes. That is what you saw when you thought it was him.

I was at Dimash's concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022. There were two premieres of songs, the music for which was written by Dimash himself. We, the audience, had not yet come to our senses from the song "The Story of One Sky", as all the lights went out in the stadium, and a giant figure of Dimash in black appeared in the dark. The beautiful to the point of madness "El Amor En Ti" began. This song was an absolute surprise, because no one knew about its existence in advance. I've never seen a performance like this.. It is necessary, someone came up with the idea for four vocal parts to create four fantastic images: Giant Dimash in black (they say, the projection was the height of a 7-storey house) - fatal, philosophical, wise in life experience. Dimash in white (a little smaller, about the height of a 5-storey building) is full of life and the desires of youth, energetic and romantic. Dimash in red (equal in height to white) - the link between youth and maturity, a burning heart, a fire in the blood. And the unexpected fourth Dimash is a small living person against the background of giant figures. The whole unusualness and trick in this song was that high-class academic classical singing with baritone, tenor and soprano was combined with singing in the style of pop. And it was so cute that you want to listen to it and listen endlessly.

The Spanish speaking Dears have been waiting for a Dimash song in their language for a long time... and here it is.
The premiere of the song was at Dimash's 'Stranger' concert on September 23, 2022 in Almaty Central Stadium (the largest sports complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan). Dimash Qudaibergen's solo concert in Almaty sold out gathering 35000 Dears from almost 68 countries.
Dimash composed another masterpiece, an “exquisite melodic salad” (as a Dear aptly put it). It's a song with a wonderful, beautiful melody, in which classical and modern perfectly harmonize and blend... and Dimash sings it in quadruple duplication as a quartet with himself. What is better then one Dimash? For Dimash’s! There can never be enough of Dimash's... grandios!
Not only with his singing, but also with his videos or with his stage sets - Dimash sets new standards... just great!
The authors of the lyrics are the Mexican Dr. Hildegard Wöhler and the singer-songwriter Regina de Ovando. The music was composed by Dimash Qudaibergen!

A couple of days ago Dimash has served as a jury member at the SCO Film Festival. In the net there’s a very interesting his meeting with a press and professionals. And one of his answers was about the visualisation. From his childhood when he works or dreams about - he always see how it would look like…. Music and visuals do come together… his fantasies have no boarders! He is full of surprises…. I saw a comment from someone who attended this concert. She said the three Dimashes were each on separate screens that were 16 storeys in height. DImash had just poured his heart out singing The Story of One Sky so he took a little break while the Black, White and Red Dimashes started the song. He changed his clothes and came out to sing pop as we see him here.
The Black Red and White Dimashes were all prerecorded. This was in the middle of his concert. This was time for him to have a vocal break during the opening sequence of this performance.
And it was the coolest way possible for him to have a short vocal break!!😎

Dimash's great musical piece with a deep message and an amazing visual idea 😍 Apparently, the sight of a huge 7-story Dimash was so shocking that the audience took their breath away😲 The effect was all the more powerful as this song (premiere) took place right after the end of the amazing The Story of One Sky (i.e. premiere). Dimash was able to rest for a while as his doppelgängers sang. The conclusion of this song is interesting: who is vocally better than Dimash? Four Dimash at once🤣 After this song the main Dimash looked at the holograms and said in Kazakh: "Thank you guys! "😂 They did it💪👍🙃

What blows me away with this performance is the fact that he sang it (albeit just a portion) with all this energy and enthusiasm after more than 2-3 hours into the concert! I absolutely love this song so much and can't get enough of it.

Dark thought, Positive thought and Magic within, the 3 characters :) The 3 aspects of our inner world. And live Dimash, a manifest of liberty against despair. On his Instagram there`s a short clip from when he filmed the 3 characters against green screen. In concert, the 3 were projected against super black background on the 3 stage screens made of scaffolding and fabric. Also, on the stage there were glass boxes in which there were Dimash holograms at 1:1 scale = the little figures that you saw. The different size of the characters is not important, it was just the difference in the sizes of the scaffolding - in post edit images of the concert they are frequently brought to same size. All 3 were recorded and harmonized in studio, and then Dimash pop was live and he harmonized and improvized together with the 3 recorded versions of him :) The beginning performance of the 3 Dimashes served as rest break for real Dimash :) This was presented after he premiered The Story Of One Sky on stage, which was physically and emotionally draining, as it lasted 9 minutes in stage performance.

He just completed his doctoral work and Thesis and is ready to expand his already nice abilities.

Dimash has been in Los Angeles, CA. It is a bit confusing since the name of the school is New York, but the branch is in LA. ❤️ There has been confusion at first.
I'm not sure if he is still in LA. He did visit with a famous producer there whom he has worked with in 2017.
@@DQ_Mine You're correct, a doctoral thesis usually takes years even when pursued full time. So no it's not finished yet, we don't even know if he's actually started it lol. It seems likely to me he'll study in LA, since before covid he had the intention to do a course on (jazz vocals?) at the music academy there as well. Not sure if that's still on the table though.

Dimash is is LA. He is studying Film Direction at New York Film Academy.
His short film The Story of One Sky has been selected by The Crystal Palace Film Festival in London. His song will be played on March the 7th. The Closing is on March 27, I think.
He also met Walter Afanasieff a few days ago. Afananieff wrote a song for him in 2018, but there are only a few videos of DiMASH singing an pictures taken from different movies. I hope the finish this song and cooperate for future songs.

Cedric you might want to watch the Almaty concert as Dimash produced this one differently. He is always high energy but this time he filmed beautiful new short films to entertain the audience when he needed time for changes of outfits and resting his voice. Gorgeous and well scripted with good actors and narration by Dimash. The 3rd part has finally gotten the subtitles finished so now all 3 parts are subbed in English and other languages. He also narrates the introduction and at the end credits. He is definitely transforming his concerts into a complete theatrical production.

Thank you so much Cedric. These are giant holograms the central one is the size of a 10 story building, 11 stories in America. Dimash composed this song in response to the many, many requests from Spanish speaking Dears for him to sing to them in their language. I think he fulfilled that request and more with this incredible performance and song. You might like to know that Dimash's video for The Story of One Sky has been nominated for the Crystal Palace Film Festival in London from March 2nd to 25th. I am hoping he will win in his category of Stunning Eclectic Mix when its shown on the 7th. The Awards Night is on 25th so fingers crossed. The CPFF is among the top 10 film festivals in the world and is considered the coolest 😎 🥰 btw Dimash will be attending the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles to do a course in Film making and Directing
