    If it helps, double clicking in the solar system map rotates the horizontal to vertical view for probe movement, which for me helps speed up my scanning. Everyone finds what works for them but I find that helps me. Good vid btw

      Yes, i've tried to use the double click to rotate the view 90 degrees, but i've done scanning for so long it's hard to break the habit of the click and drag to rotate. when i rotate that way, i think i get a better view (3d wise) of the center spot and can better adjust.
      Thanks for the TIP!

    1: closed out of hacking window too early 2:clicked on virus suppressor and could not finish hack because of it. that was all i could find

      @alphabob_eveonline  Год назад +1

      Nice! you got 2 of them:
      #1 at 9:53 : Alpha Joe closes the hacking window, which used up 1 of the 2 chances your are given to hack a can before it explodes.
      (not sure what was going through Joe's mind, but that was a huge mistake)
      #3 at 10:40 : Alpha Joe will use (correctly) the 2 Vector tools on the 2 Anti-Virus nodes, but waits too long for the 2nd one. This caused Joe to click the node with the Suppressor unnecessarily.
      (there are 2 other mistake, one major and the other minor)

    I still don't understand why you only hack containers worth more than 2 miles. I understand that it increases profit but it stops respawns. Can someone explain this to me or am I missing something. (I repeat the question)

    • @TrampyPulsar
      @TrampyPulsar Год назад

      Doesn't stop respawns, a relic/data site despawns an hour after being warped too

    • @skipslash7367
      @skipslash7367 Год назад +1

      it does stop despawns, which is why a lot of people hate it, but it increases profit

      @@skipslash7367 No it doesn't lol. Go camp a site for an hour and see for yourself.

      My 2 Million ISK minimum for hacking cans is based off the math for making 200M/hr with hacking any can takes about 30-45 seconds. This was for my 1 Billion ISK in 5 hour challenge. In practice, i find any average ISK/hr (for an Alpha) is closer to 100M/hr. But for my challenge, i was moving fast through different regions of NULL, and i didn't want to waste time finishing a site with the chance a new relic site might spawn right in front of me.
      Now the question, is "Cherry-picking" good, bad or evil? I have an old video (which i should update): ruclips.net/video/8nEMjzCI_RA/видео.html
      The GOOD:
      1) Cherry-picking cans speeds up your ISK/hr
      2) Spending less time hacking when a hunter could decloak on your (especial true in Wormholes)
      3) Lets other Explorer know the sites in the region have been picked over already (i will use a filament when i see other explorers)
      The BAD:
      1) If you are not in a hurry, you miss out on ISK, and the possibility of newly spawned Relic Sites.
      2) Lets hunters and locals know you are hacking, and they come after you. (most players hate cherry-pickers)
      The EVIL:
      1) You have 1 can (worth 0 ISK) to hack and you logoff leaving the site unfinished, knowing you are taking away ISK from the next explorer to come by.
      As for when the sites despawn, this is a quote from EVE University Wiki: "Emptied sites will despawn in few minutes. Sites that have been warped to or partially completed will despawn in a few hours."
