FrogClan consists of strange cats chosen by StarClan for their unique mutations, which will help them (and their descendants) to survive 5 impending natural disasters. Cats can have up to 5 mutations on 7 different body parts, and these mutations may help or hinder them in various events. Due to the nature of their Clan, there may be descriptions of violence or gore, or may showcase artwork depicting such items (but nothing worse than the book itself and not far beyond what the game itself offers). Please be advised.

FrogClan has several goals: Survive, and keep the Warrior Code alive!
Original concept created by Golden in the ClanGen Discord. Base settings:
-Unmated cats can have kits
-Mass extinction events off
-Same sex pairs cannot have kits (I am open to change)
My additional rules:
-Cats do not have to proceed on a patrol, but numbers of patrols they can skip per year is determined by the number of mutations of their patrol leader.
-Cats’ experience levels and age may influence their ability to survive certain events.

Lose conditions:
-Less than 5 cats remain in the Clan at any given time
-Leader, deputy, and medicine cat roles are not filled by cats with mutations/no cats with mutations remain.

I honestly think it's kind of ironic that Softdapple is so bulky, big and muscular, despite having the prefix 'soft'. I can just imagine the parents naming their kit Softkit and they end up being the bulkiest cat in the Clan lmao

Wow, I love the idea of this challenge! Golden is so creative. Definitely going to try this myself - I'm often frustrated by the population explosions that tend to happen in Clangen, even with Mass Extinction + birth control turned on, so it'll be a change of pace to purposely try and make as many cats survive and multiply as possible 😁

The idea of a medicine cat with a prehensile tail is so cool! She could do things like get herbs in hard to reach places and use it to help her double task
Edit: I wrote this when I had just heard that she had the ability, I now realize you basically said this lol

There’s a Clangen mod called MerGen, which turns all cats into Mercats, including some tropical colored pelts.

It's a part of their story. It is not something that has to hold them down in any way either; if you are doing a challenge like mine, they could have other gifts and abilities too! Think about Jayfeather from the main series as well, as an example ^-^

also i wanted to ask if you could allow same sex couples to have kits. if not that's totally fine i just don't see it often a least not in any clan gens I've seen so far.
All the reason I need! It will be enabled for next video. I've already been brainstorming how to make it work with the rules of the challenge; I really wanted to have it enabled from the start but I didn't want to go against the "spirit of the challenge" or anything like that. If things seem like they're too easy we can come back to it, but I don't think that will be much of an issue from what I've seen...
And Acornkit is an adorable name
@@FrostyLass thanks. also looking at what has happened so far (I'm only at 10:06) it seems like you would have struggled to grow the clan because of how few females are in the clan. as for acorn kit it was the first warrior cat oc i ever made.

They're pre selected for the challenge, and effectively we just roll for them! They are all notes, and have no real in-game effect
If possible when you get a spotted cat, Could you please name is Spotted'Soul after my oc. If not I completely understand :)

It is a challenge, and just notes I'm keeping for it. The challenge was created by Golden in the Clangen Discord ^-^

I have a little question how did you roll for the mutatins
So for each category, there are 6-8 mutations. I have each mutation assigned to a certain number of the dice. When I deterine a cat gets a mutation (either from set up or from chance) I'll roll the dice to see which category the mutation(s) lie on. After that, I roll to see which variant that cat has. The negative traits are always the "1" category of the dice; everything else, which could be good or bad, is assigned to a different number. Inheritance of mutations is something I'll go over in future episodes in a bit more detail, but effectively the kittens have a chance to inherit their parents traits

Can I ask you something like what you did to install the game that I installed and it doesn't work
If you follow the link in the description, it should bring you to the download page. You'll need to select the correct one for your system. It will likely be flagged as spam, but it is safe; you will have to click some equivalent of "download anyway". From there you can extract the game to its own folder and run the .exe file. There are some tutorials out there on how to do it ^^

How did you get the cats to have mutations? I'm just kinda confused or I just didn't hear the part where you explained it..
Basically we just roll for the mutations, and then I keep notes on what each cat has; the rest then is just flavor/story based ^-^

These are the current traits. I may add more later, but this is everything from the base challenge with a possible twist, or even a few additions of my own. I have gotten a lot of really cool suggestions that I really like, so I am definitely thinking about adding those in the future; maybe each event unlocks certain new traits?
Head: Uneven, Attractive, Narrow, Broad, Streamlined, Seal Nose
Ears: Deaf, Large, Folded, Closed, Tattered, Fuzzy
Eyes: Blind, Adaptable vision, Slit Pupils, Cute
Teeth: Toothless, Fangs, Venomous, Flat
Body: Wasting, Small, Muscular, Thick-ruff, Poisonous, Glider
Tail: Tailless, Prehensile, Scaly, Stinger, Amphibious/Aquatic, Multi-tailed
Paws: Nubs, Tiny, Huge, Talons, Digging, Webbed, Thumbs
Always Negative traits: Uneven, Deaf, Blind, Toothless, Wasting, Tailless, Nubs
