Where does Jesus say we need to eliminate ego to find truth?

@@normanchu2482 Even he doesn't say explicitely 'eliminate your ego' - his life and teaching and his suffering and death too!!! lead us to that state, if we earnestly want to follow - as he asks each of us also today. Without putting down our ego, stepping behind our pride self, surrendering completely to the Father's will, we cannot follow him. But this is a process step by step and the Holy Spirit will lead us as Jesus promised. It is a transformation from our old fleshly nature towards a new born creation!
Read the gospels carefully - for example the 'Sermon on the Mount' in Matthew 5 and all the explanations in the letters - in order to understand from your heart. Ask yourself very honestly, what is the hindrance for you to do exactly as Jesus told .... and you will come to know that's your ego that stands in the way .....
