I love the fact that Jason took time out to do an in-depth behind the scenes video with you. His openess and honesty in this industry is refreshing. Would love to be able to afford a pair of those Tyrs.
Yes. The next product should be the Yes. Schitt Yes.
You can just save up no problem take some time but you’ll have them that works for me
Being in engineering and manufacturing I very much appreciate these "how they are made" videos hosted by Jana. It makes me lust for some of those presses and CNC machines. Looking forward to John's review of the Tyr. Schiit monoblocks. Oh yeah, tacos can do that to you.... ;-) Seriously loved the sticker, "Skilled labor isn't cheap; Cheap labor isn't skilled". That axiom bears repeating often.
"Skilled labor isn't cheap; Cheap labor isn't skilled". True. Love that one. Often, clueless people wonder why one is paid higher than some.
Jana keeps topping herself!
Calm down there big boy
Jana rocks!
Better than Schiiting herself!
Hey! What's up Steve
Jana please reboot your YT channel ^^
Love the 2 device one hand soldering technique. kind of like chop sticks.
I've owned lots of expensive Hifi from all sort of high-end brands from around the world, and I've never been as satisfied as my experience with Schiit products. Been running a pair of Vidars with a Freya + for years every day - zero problems and fantastic sound. I'll look forward to trying the Tyr out someday. Great video and very nicely photographed - thanks!
I love these inside tours that Jan does for your channel. It give us, the possible consumer an understanding of how these pieces of equipment are made. It is really a dance where by everything has to be in place. Thanks
Wow! Bravo Jana! That’s as good as any episode on The Discovery Channel of How It’s Made, produced using a big crew and budget.
Jana’s field trip videos are the best! Keep them coming.
This is High End videomaking. A real pleasure to watch.
And for dadjokes,though i am a dad.
I don't know Schiit.
But I own a Vali 2 which is great, with hopes of getting more Schiit.
Thank you for making these high quality, entertaining and educational videos. Regards from Sweden.
i love these videos because I don't feel so bad about spending good money on gear, knowing how much work really goes into building it.
The woman chopstick style soldering with two irons is impressive. Hope she's getting paid double time.
That girl is a maven of soldering. Chopstick soldering is no easy task.
Being resident in Europe is almost impossible to get Schiit products, locally available and in stock and reasonably priced. The European retail distributor is not really helping in this regard. If you order direct from Schiit in the US, as I have done in the past, you are faced with insane shipping costs, local import taxes, local VAT, shipping company warehouse expenses etc, making the whole process a nightmare and very costly. I would suggest that Schiit, since at least in the US they are adhering to the direct to consumer model, to have a look to what some Chinese and Canadian companies are doing with European logistic centers that allow for in time warehousing and processing of orders from countries like China, and get on board. There are a number of these companies to choose from, based in the Netherlands, Belgium and other countries and utilizing their services significantly helps reduce the end European consumer price since it bypasses the local European distributor margin, and offers large scale economies for shipping and customs processing etc. Sometimes US companies forget that having a great product is not enough to assume great sales in the rest of the world, and make very little or no effort to investigate alternative direct to consumer distribution options available in this global economy.
To sell in Europe the products needs CE (EMI, ESD), REACH and RoHS, that´s the problem then that are costs!
I feel your pain. Living in Belgium, have bought from the EU distributor in the Netherlands and from US directly. First didn't have the new products in stock for a very long time, second option cost me a whole lot more in taxes and customs. Both are not ideal. Contacted the EU distributor and they said Schiit didn't have enough product to meet US demand, let alone ship products to distributors around the world. So I guess we'll have to wait until stocks can be at a higher level. And that won't be soon I guess. Still, I love their products and the vision behind the brand.
@@jean-paulschweitzer6211 All the Schiit products I have are CE certified. The logo is on the devices. Otherwise it would be illegal to sell these in the EU. CE certification is a one time cost for the manufacturer per product of about €1000 / $1000. So that's not too expensive.
@@zzillezz Finally a straight answer about most Schiit models not being available in Europe for at least 2 years now. Thanks for that!
I went to my proctologist and he asked me to bring him a shit sample, so I brought him my Tyr, he said that’s the heaviest piece of Schiit he has ever tested, but it sounds amazing. Loved the Video…Jason is an incredible innovator.
I love that Jana is like an audiophile Mr. Rogers. These videos are so cool. Now if we can just get John to do the occasional puppet show…
That lady dual welding soldering irons with a single hand is boss
Jana, your video making skills are top notch! This video has made me an even bigger Schiit lover and proud to be the owner of several of their products. Thank you!!
Ariel, my thoughts exactly. We rock.
That was great I always enjoy watching the production process…more of that please
I really like that you are doing these videos. It is great to see the products we use being made. Also, the dexterity and attention to detail of the employees always amazes me. Thank you please keep these videos coming :)
Hats off to the people or person who put this video/audio together.
I'm proud to own 2 Modi 3+ in black, will be buying more in the future.
Yes made in USA matters to me.
A great British detective once asked me to get him some top shelf audio gear, but sadly because of import tariffs, I had to tell him "No Schiit Sherlock."
I have been watching audio related videos/ reviews for many years. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen… such a unique aspect of audio production ! Long live the good Schiit!
I thought Schiit was a gimmick until I turned on my Loki 4 band eq. It makes my $800 speakers sound like $1600. Keepin that Schiit.
Finally someone who knows how to make good factor tours. I hear people saying no one watches them, that’s because usually it is made poorly. This one is outstanding!
Toilet jokes aren't my favorite...
But they’re a solid number 2.
Absolutely FASCINATING !!! Gives me goosebumps to see consumer audio manufacturing being done in the US of A ! Jason and team must be commended for it and for making it relatively affordable. 100% Made in USA is almost impossible especially with hundreds if not thousands of individual parts and associated IP. Well done Jana and John ! Need more of Jana for sure ! Thank you ! Salamat !!!
salamat sa iyong suporta 💛
By far!!! The most charming fun to watch aesthetically pleasing factory visit video I've ever watched Bravo Jana !! My hat is off to you Jason too , , , you're a natural at everything you do. And geeze-Louise.....a choke-filtered amplifier! Who would have thought that Schiit would happen?
They should start making equipment racks so we can "Get our Schiit together, man."
I will never forget how I ordered the Schiit Vidar in the 230 V Version to germany, waited 6 weeks for it, received the 110V version without noticing and destroyed it in 2 seconds. Boy, what a fun day that was!
Thatnks for this guys! Schiit is one of my all time favorite companies and this was a real treat. Also wonderfully shot and edited!
What’s the other ones?
Fascinating job Jana! Looks like a great product.
Another fantastic video, hard to believe you do it solo!
Beautifully shot Jana! Love it.
💛
Thank you for sharing this video on how things are done at Shiit Audio. We got a lot out of it and also learned about the company. In the long run, we think it’ll go a long way to endear the company to consumers. Hope there will be more videos like this coming.🎧
Yesterday I ate 2 pieces of string and today they came out tied.
I schiit you knot!
Bought 2 pieces of Schiit this year, a Lokius and a Lyr headphone amp. I'm no noob and own lots of gear from lots of different manufacturers. Astounding performance, best of the American value first companies.
It's always nice to see a Jana episode. Such a bright young woman.
💛💛
Jana killing it with the production quality.
I thought they had moved to Texas. My gf is from Valencia and I've always wanted to go to The Schitter. Looks like I may not need to bring toilet paper next time I'm down there.
They split their time between both places.
Great video Jana thanks love factory tours.
Incredible video Jana great
work!
Great video Jana! I have grown to enjoy interviews with Jason from Schiit.
Jason and Mike need to make a $99 Corvette. 🙂 Love Schiit! This is one of the better videos showing their process.
good schiit Jana - lovely work
Since more than a year almost impossible to get stuff from Schitt in Europe by local dealers or Schiit Europe.
Nice job Jana!
💛
I suggest they rebrand slightly as "Schiit:", to acknowledge the role of the colon in the manufacturing process.
Hi iagrant7034 - can you please contact me at john AT darko DOT audio asap!?
Excelent job, Jana. 👏👏👏👏👏 Congratulations!
💛
Funny how he flexed his Corvette and then made an analogy to the VFM that car and his products have!
I’m just about to purchase my first Schiit product and after watching this I am doubly excited about acquiring it. And I concur; Jana rocks.
More videos by Jana!
💛
Brilliant video, Jana - very informative and wonderfully produced. Thank you👍👍👍
💛
Thanks Jana & Team Darko for another fascinating, slick & fun vid hit. Fortuitous timing with the latest streams and hoping some new S400MK2’z will blend well with a Vidar and some other Schiit just ordered.
Man, I love this visiting factories series very much, it's great to see this stuff, I just wish Schiit shipped to South Africa but they don't so far. But fingers crossed it will be soon, I see Abyss now does ship to SA. Thanks guys for bringing this series to us, it is well appreciated.
Love this tour with Jason. Have just purchased 3 x Tyr mono blocks. Best saying is: "The power of Schiit".
Thanks
Jon Mamonski
Australia.
Jana great video. Thank you and thanks to American Schiit audio for making awesome products.
Shit, I can't even solder well with one! Two in one hand just knowing out consistent looking joints. Amazing
Dad jokes? You can't really beat the humor that the equipment is named "Schiit Tyr". Wish I had a pair.
According to my wife, I don't know Schiit about anything, but I tell her that I didn't do Schiit. But really, I do know about Schiit..
From the majestic video from Darko & Jana. I now know a lot more about Schiit. And a lot more about Schiit that she does..
I am impressed to see Bloomer compagnie make those perfect cases at a low price.
That was really well done Jana! I'm enjoying the series, and your excellent camera work! Excited to get a pair of Tyr for my listening room!
You wiped the opposition with this prize! Darko and Jana really do give a Schiit…
Proudly own their products, much love from Australia! Great video....so fun to watch!
Have a lot of respect for every person involved with the video. Schiit audio is really impressive.
I own a Freya S, Vidar, and Modi Multibit and am thoroughly impressed with their sound. Schiit should be applauded for its commitment to high quality sound and affordability, especially considering the amount of hands on work required as shown in this vid.
Excellent video Jana !!! Very interesting. It's great that you got Jason to do it as well. Great job, keep it up.
You are on the cutting edge of repatriating industry, jobs and pride back to America in an industry not known as such. Well done all around!
Congratulations to all of the companies and people involved. I only own 2 of the small chassis products, and they're lovely.
Been following Jason and Mikes company ever since I first read mikes book on how schiit audio happened. It's a great and inspiring read for those wanting to read about good America success stories and in our small nitch hobby as well. Loved Jason's anology of his company to Chevy corvette. Couldn't agree more!. These manufacturing interviews are pure gold! Please make more! Only regret in this video is not interviewing mike Moffet. That guy is so fun to funny to listen to. A legend in the industry. And when you get Mike and Jason in a interview together schiit happens! Thank you!
What succes? They only succeed to supply the American market. They have not the skills or manpower for global market delivery: Europe no stock, Australia no stock!
Great analogy indeed with the Corvette... great bang for the buck..
Awesome piece of work both from Schiit and Jana! Thanks Darko for making this happen.
One can Tyr of these Schitty plays on words.
OMG Jana got to visit Schiit??? Exciting stuff
Just watched this for a second time, it is a masterpiece! Anyone interested in "Made in America" should be familiar with this video! Great music choices!
This was immensely entertaining and nerdy af. Thanks crew.
This is fascinating, and I so appreciate the people in the factory who do this precise work. The automation is amazing! Now, if Schiit would ever reply to my many emails asking ONE specific question about the Try. Grrrrr. They are almost impossible to reach to speak to a human with technical knowledge. Very frustrating-I am a seriously interested prospective buyer of the Tyrs.
Awesome video 👍. I currently have the Schiit Freya + pre amp and the Gungnir DAC. Both are great components. Going to check out the TYR at the Schiit Valencia store. I think they will pair nicely with a the Klipsch Forte IV.
Quality content I never knew I needed! I also never knew Jana's talents include film making but I'm absolutely here for it.
...
Lastly, I'm not above making the observation that this film featured Schiits and giggles.
Love to finally see a review of the Tyr.
No need to watch the entire video to know that will be amazin. Thanks Jana!!!
"What do you call a factory that makes okay products?" "A satisfactory."
Excellent video, script, lighting, camera work, editing and audio quality. Thanks from Colorado.
I love Schiit........ I think, because what saddens me is the fact that you can´t buy it in Europe and has not been able to for the last couple of years. I´m truly hoping to be able to buy some of the Schiit in the future.
Yeah! Glad to see women like Jana play a part in this part of the music industry!!!
Wonderful job capturing the people and the processes at Schiit with an artful eye. It's exactly what you'd hope for from a project like this and lends an extra depth to the Darko channel that I really appreciate both in general, and in particular, here, as an owner of multiple Schiit products. "Skilled labor" all around. Nicely done as always. More, please.
@12:27 _Skilled labor isn’t cheap, Cheap labor isn’t skilled._
Top schiit Jana! very well made: swell the video as the Try!!
I just gained a Shitt ton more respect for this company. Thank you for the amazing content Darko
Good stuff Jana!
Jana does a fantastic job, such a great addition to the Darko universe.
Nice work, Jana! Great video.
BRILLIANT !!!
I started with a Magni and Modi several years ago and the Schiit just keeps piling up around here.
Own a couple of Schiit DaCs. Love em. Planning on getting one of their amplifiers next. Americans do make great products and as an American, I'm probably biased. Loved this video. Quality all round.
Great video, thanks guys!
Another great video. I’ve got a few Schiit products and it great to watch the quality and effort that goes into the production process.
It DOES matter to me where it is made, and who is making it, and what lives are enriched by working for the company, and the owners or the company (or corp.). I worked at a family corporation, we paid our employees more than we, the owners, when you consider we worked more hours per week and got paid the same in dollars as our employees. Plus a full benefit package for our employees. THIS small corporation of 20 people is why America is great. Every person in our little corporation owned their own home, raised educated children and lived in safe communities. This IS the good life for us all, every single American.
This is why I have watched this video and for he last two years been studying and researching Schiit Audio for my next audiophile purchases. I began my audio life as a musician (organ) at 10 years old, then at 15 years old bought my first audio system in 1974, Pioneer, instead of a car. At age 20 I traded organ for piano, added guitar, and at age 30 added synthesizers. At age 34 began recording and audio engineering my music. Through the years I have also learned critical listening, synthesizer sound design in subtractive, FM, and sampling, with further interest in granular and wavetable coming.
It has been a wonderful audio life, but would like to have in my final years, my first truly separated system of mono amps, preamp, speakers, DAC, and source. My passion for composing, sound designing, effects designing, performing, recording, engineering and then playback are deeply impressed and stamped in every cell of my body. When I hear the playback and end result of all the work I have done, and others work also, on an accurate audio system it is a pleasure that moves every one of those cells from tip of toes to top of head.
Jana, your production is wonderful. Warmest wishes for your continued success.
Great vid Jana🙏🙏
Great tour of the Schitt process! Enjoyed the way it was done. Good job, Jana! Looks exciting. Cannot wait to hear the review of the new pieces of Schitt! Peace ✌
Good job, Jana.
Really Excellent - so much info and fantastic production. Thanks for sharing, guys. Greetings to you both
