That middle pickup with the light overdrive sounds like a dream!
Maple and Mahogany wood are the two most used for making guitar neck. Maple is denser and tougher than Mahogany. The maple neck gives you a better higher frequency since the wood molecules are more tightly packed as compared to Mahogany. Mahogany has comparatively better lower frequencies and cuts off the higher frequencies.
Whereas on fretboard, you gets the 3 most standard ones - Maple or Rosewood or Ebony. Nowadays you also get Jatoba or Blackwood or Richlite (I have seen on LP and SG customs).

At the start I was wondering why you didn't get a Fender Contemporary Strat since you said you wanted the most versatile guitar and the Contemporary has a floating bridge. Then I watched the video further and saw that you haven't played an electric in a very long time. In which case, you did the right thing and got this one. And in all honesty, you don't need a floating bridge unless you want to do some crazy bends.

Yes you are right
Also single coil pickups are know for their excess hum, thats why engineers created P90 and humbucker pickups. And even in the clean tone I can hear hum coming from your guitar and you still are not using gain.
But single coil pickup are known for their light and bright tone best for clean tones.
Adit ji i have a low end fender squier strat made in Indonesia and the series is known as FENDER SPECIAL RUN (FSR) and the guitar is awesome..i have been playing it for the last 5yrs..but its great..great neck nice playability..i did some mod like i changed the nut and locking tuners so that i can use the trem in a bit subtle way..I changed the stock pickup with seymour duncan lil 59 strat...now am happy...
The only thing makes fender different from others is the versatility..cheers❤💛

I bought the sunburst, maple neck, Fender '96 MIM Strat. Got a bone nut, an after-market bridge assembly by Callaham guitars, Fender custom shop Texas special pickups, metal floral art pick guard and fender lock-in tuners and it sounds awesome. I hope to buy a real American fender tho someday.

Bro my favourite dream guitar is 1959 or 1954 strat but they are way too expensive. But I'll get there one day. Dreams come true. Keep it up. Try some tricks with the volume and the tone knobs as well they are so awesome with tube screamer. 😊😊😊😀😀

Its better to invest in pedals and gear rather than expensive guitar IMHO. Have a moderately priced electric guitar priced around 17k INR and purchased fender mustang amp (11k INR) and revv G3 distortion pedal(21k INR). Entire setup sounds killer.

Suppose I m using only these notes C D E F G A B C ... Guess what I ve made a melody using only these notes but every time my melody tend to stop on or turn into the F note lets say it stops on F note so what key am I in is it C major is it A minor or is it F ????

Playing without all those fancy effects like distortion is what shows your real skill dude. Anyone can sound good with heavy effects but playing all those licks you did on a clean tone is class
Um. I think you're very wrong. First of all distortion or overdrive isn't a "fancy" effect. Not anyone can sound good with effects. Playing with distortion is a challenge in itself. You've got to mute the strings that aren't being played. You have to take care of the pull offs ringing out. Don't go about discrediting others when you're not aware of the challenges
@@rishabhvallecha Not discrediting anyone bro. But are you seriously telling me that playing licks and fast runs on distortion/ overdrive is not A WHOLE LOT easier than playing clean??? Ask anyone who has played with both well, and they ll tell you that Distortion does cover mistakes and the sustain helps smooth things out. play clean and if you can't match your speed and perceived precision that you got with distortion, then you know that you were fooled. Of course you need control with both
@@DA-ju5mc I don't need to ask anyone. I myself play the instrument on both clean and heavily distorted channels to differentiate between what's A WHOLE LOT easier. Sure, the gain helps smoothen up, but there comes the challenges with it too. And guitar playing isn't all about fast scale runs.
But the point you stated about ANYONE SOUNDING GOOD WITH HEAVY EFFECTS is just wrong. You can't play good with high gain unless you've mastered both your right and your left hand muting techniques. Don't believe everything you hear people talk about what's easy and what's not. Experiment with the instrument yourself to come across and pass these challenges mate.
@@DA-ju5mc Clean tones and heavy distortion tones are completely different !! Just saying that legatos and scale runs are easier if you use an overdriven tone is completely true but it is also insanely challenging to mute other strings while you're playing !! Also what you said about mistakes going unnoticed while you're in distortion is horseshit, overdrive amplifies EVERYTHING even the mistakes you make ring louder !! So please don't completely disregard the distortion and overdriven tones if you don't know about tone saturations !!
Playing clean channels and playing distorted channels ( scooped or cranked mids ) is completely different !!
