- “No way _______ does that trade”
- “these trades are terrible” (doesn’t offer any counter proposals)
- “this guy really uses BTV? That site is so bad” (doesn’t give explanation to why it’s bad)
- “BTV is so inaccurate” (doesn’t give explanation to why it’s inaccurate

A year and a half of Vlad is more valuable than a year and a half of Bichette in my opinion.
The sky is also blue
Yankees better hope Tanner Scott can play 1st 2nd 3rd or DH along with pitch lol because management rolled into the season thinking Judge and Soto can play all 9 positions
😂😂😂
As a Phillies fan, I am absolutely not trading Aiden Miller. For me, he, Painter, and Starlyn Caba are the untouchables, and maybe Crawford. Aiden Miller may be blocked right now, but as Bryce Harper ages and if they resign Bohm, Harper can DH while Bohm moves over to first and Miller would lock down the hot corner.
we want to win now… look what happened when we refused to trade abel last year… the only untouchable rn should be painter
@@creamcreamcream28 Not miller. Kid is gonna mash. I’m comfortable with moving anybody else. Caba is also on the rise. I also think that we should try to move Rojas or Pache.
@@creamcreamcream28you can win now without trading away all of those high level prospects for a closer who’s had injuries. The bullpen has statistically been fine this season
miller and painter should be only people untouchable
@@SirPhillyi agree we should move rojas
This is going to be one of the weirdest deadlines, I'm afraid not much will happen. Aside from there only being a few clear cut sellers, a lot of the top trade candidates have serious issues. It will be hard for teams to justify trading a lot for guys like Bo, Randy, Luzardo (hurt and off the block??) because their own teams will value them higher.
I feel like either no one will be traded, or everyone will be traded 😂
could see a lot more buyer to buyer trades this year
Video idea can you do a video were it’s trade the marlins can do for them to turn there season around it can be with all the teams.
Love idea of Bo in Cleveland but they should absolutely target SP
Vlad to Stros makes a lot of sense aswell. Though I see Miller to Phils and I personally don't think that's a great trade for us. We've built some relievers out of nowhere like with Orion Kerkering, Jeff Hoffman, Alvardo in a way, and Strahm to this legit level. Dont think it's smart to trade valuable guys on such a volatile position and a position we are already established at
Taylor Ward has been the top of my wish list for the Braves since the Angels are obvious sellers. Some fans point out a crowded outfield next year if they acquire anyone with control but my response is "look at their current outfield." Having 4 quality players would be smart, esp with Acuna recovering from ACL surgery.
Love the video. Definitely think Randy would be great with Atlanta but with multiple years of control makes next year tough with 4 OF's and Ozuna on a club option. I know Ronald coming off ACL but imagine they want to piece RF together next year til he's back. What about a rental like Bellinger. Has the opt out so a little more tricky but if he does doesn't create the logjam in OF next year when Ronald is back.
Thanks Kennedy! The years of control could definitely come into play there. More so I focused on the Braves ability to get guys going again. Like you said though, more likely a rental happens. However, I wonder if you could do a situation where you can have both Kelenic and Arozerana. Kelenic isn’t as impactful against LHP (83 wRC+) while Randy could help there (108 wRC+)
@@rhyde man Randy in Atlanta would be just what they need with his playoff pedigree this year. I also think if they wanted they could flip him or Kelenic in off season if they needed. Platooning them is certainly in the cards. Kelenic since Ronald down has held his own but hard to rely on that. For 2024 I think they would opt for a lefty to platoon with Duvall because he's so bad against RHP. But if you get Randy can platoon Duvall/Kelenic and let Randy play everyday. They certainly have options.
I just awoke from a nightmare where we(brewers)traded Jacob Misorowski to the White Sox for Garrett Crochet and Crochet bombed after
😂😂😂
do it.
As a Phillies fan giving up Aiden Miller would hurt. I love Mason Miller but injury history/unproven as a starter is a little concerning… I would still probably do the move but maybe would like to Crawford go instead of Aiden miller
Fair! Perhaps they could do Abel, Caba, Crawford, and either Tait or Rincones.
As a Phillies fan I would say the same thing, Aiden Miller is really talented, I wanna see more of him before trading him, I would go Caba Or Crawford instead
@@rhyde they aren’t getting rid of 3 of their top 5 prospects for a closer. Especially two top 100 prospects.
I know this isn’t the right way to think about it, but when the Phillies bought at the deadline back in late 2000s/early 2010s, virtually none of the prospects they traded away amounted to much. Just because of that (and I know we have different GM/scouting people) I don’t fall in love with prospects and I’d love a fire baller with 5 more years of control
on the bo take i think if the dodgers get him instead of moving mookie to second they move their GOLD GLOVE OUTFIELDER to an outfield position. bo would definetely fit better with cleveland though
I totally think Mookie should be in the OF instead, but I get it
I cant see a realm where the jays trade vlad, theres definitely gonna be an extension he wants to stay in Toronto
Just what the Jays need, prospects that aren't having good seasons. They will fit in great
i’d love bo in cleveland but don’t see us getting a bigger name. i’d like rengifo from the angles. would be cheaper too
and hot take i’d love jj @1 in the draft for the long term short stop wether rocchio is traded or not
@@CactusZachhhgreat #2 option but Bazzana seems like too much like a Guardians top pick
I dont like the 1 for 1 bo trade personally, we already have tons of depth at short between Jimenez kasevich clement and barger/Martinez if needed, id definitely be down for that velazquez package I like the mix of future and now pieces
If a Rocchio trade happened tho its not like id call for Atkins head its still a nice return
As a Phillies fan I'd LOVE to have Mason Miller in the pen. But we also need a OF right hand bat. And who knows with Walker and Turnbull getting hurt....
I just dont see them giving up the farm for one player.
With Dave Dombrowski, you never know.
I want the Twins for Mason Miller they need another arm. And they have a pretty strong farm system. Although he is a closer and the have Jhoan Duran so I guess the Twins need a starter not a reliever.
If someone in that division needs mason miller, it’s by far the royals
Both teams would be great. I don’t think either have the Royals have the prospects to get it done though. The Twins could potentially do something, but idk if they’d part with guys like Brooks Lee or Emmanuel Rodriguez.
@@ThugshakerCentral-nz3ecpretty sure the Royals farm system is ranked 28th or 29th in the league. Not great.
I dont know if we trade for Bo. Realistically, and i seriously hope we trade for Paul Blackburn because we need starting pitching more then another bat.
after a couple of rough outings and lessening team control, i wouldn’t mind giving Triston MacKenzie a change of scenery
Hot!
The problem is no one is going to trade for McKenzie knowing that he is pitching with a tear in his elbow
To think bichette would fetch more than vladdy feels so brain dead
Thats baseball economics for you
@@rhyde I would understand if bichette were even close to a plus defensive player, but when that’s not the case, what do positional values have to do with anything when vladdy has been the better player and currently is the better player? It feels like a take where you’re trying to over correct for positional value straight into just having a bad take brother.
I could see Lane Thomas and Nick Senzel being moved at the deadline. The Nat’s aren’t there yet and embracing a youth movement with that I could see Lane Thomas going to Seattle he’d provide a huge upside over Luke Raley and Dom Canzone and be a good boost for a team that wants to hold out the Rangers and Astros. I can see Senzel who’s primarily played 3rd for them heading north as a good panic option for the Yankees as I love DJ but hasn’t been great at least he’s Senzel has a bit more youth and could be at best the 3rd baseman they need for a stretch run at worst could be a great utility for the Yankees considering they’re health woes. As for the Nat’s I could see pitching epically on the mariners side of it being their primary benefits form this.
I think its a lot to give up for a potential closer who very likely will have TJ surgery in his future. I'm more than willing to consider Aiden Miller for Roberts though, which tells you the value difference I see here. It's just a position that is so much based on the mental state of the player, and Miller is going to be thrown onto the biggest stage in his first season in the league. I think it's a lot to expect from him right out of the gate. I also do not think it's enough for the A's to make the move. I don't see Mason Miller going anywhere unless it's multiple top 20 prospects coming back.
Would be expensive for sure. He has a good chance of being a starter next year, but who knows. He would definitely help a team go for a World Series this year that’s for sure.
@@rhyde I hope the A's move him before they waste too much of his career. Phillies or not, he's too good to be a closer on a team that won't make the playoffs.
We need some red sox trade hypotheticals videos
!
Still no trades for the Cardinals. They are a good team, but they can use more players.
Patience.
They'll pick up a 35+ year old starting pitcher, don't worry.
If the Cubs are out, could you see them trading Cody Bellinger?
no brewers🤨
Hard pass on Mason Miller. Great pitcher however if I'm The Phillies I just can't justify giving away that many pieces for a reliver arm. And we all know how pitchers are... One year they're dealing then the next they have an ERA in the 5s.
I would do this trade if I'm The Phillies..
White Sox Get- Justin Crawford, Johan Rojas, Mick Abel & Eduardo Tait
Phillies Get- Luis Robert Jr
White Sox can start Rojas in CF right away and I believe he will be a quality player given the opportunity. This way Chicago doesn't have to rush Crawford up. And as far as Mick Abel he can come up and pitch this year. Both teams win.
Fair, but Miller probably isn’t a reliever after this year.
Robert would be solid for them!
@@rhyde then why would the Phillies trade for him? The rotation is solid for the next 3 years
@@Chris-xt8io Next year Painter should be coming up as well. That makes a rotation of Wheeler,Nola,Suarez,Sanchez & Painter. Phewwwie....Rotation is basically full unless there's an injury.
Btw I really like Mason Miller and would trade 2-3 prospects for him because a Right Handed reliever in the back end of the pen is a big need and this way we don't have to put everything on Hoffman and Ryan O. But definitely not worth losing Aidan Miller & Crawford for a reliever.
I would do this... Mick Abel, McGowen & Gabriel Rinccones Jr but that's about it. Crawford & Aidan Miller I wouldn't trade for Mason Miller. And I even wouldn't trade Aidan Miller for Robert.
@@rhydedon’t think the Phillies even have a spot for Miller to start once Painter comes up. So they’d likely view him as a reliever. And that’s a steep price for a reliever
That probably doesn’t get it down for Chicago. They also aren’t looking for ready now prospects like Rojas. If they’re trading away guys like Crochet and Robert, who have control left, they’re looking to be bad for a while.
An overpay but Pete Alonso for Brandon Mayea or maybe a Bregman for Beeter and Carr
I don’t see the Braves trading for an outfielder that isn’t a rental. Kelenic, Ronnie, and Harris are all under contract for long past this season with ozuna as our dh for atleast next year so nowhere for them to play next year really
Makes sense!
Acuna probably not going to back to form for 2 year in things track like his last injury so I could see them doing it! I am not sold on Harris either
Pirates could offer the Jays Harrington, Brannigan, and Severino for Vlad.
I doubt the jays trade vlad
I don’t think the jays are going to trade Vlad
More realistically, it’s Bo, the rentals and maybe Bassitt
Bo brings back more for sure, and Kikuchi should be a decent return
@@rhyde you should do a mock trade for kikuchi
I would love to see where do you think he’s gonna go if he gets traded and what did Jay get back for him? Also, the other rentals could be interested For a video in the future
As a snakes fan give me Isaac paredes
I heard someone say Erick fedde and Tommy Pham to the padres. Ngl I like it
Sounds good to me!
Bo would be nice for Cleveland and the trades are fair but Cleveland needs to allocate their trade capital to starting pitching. Their only dependable #1 is Tanner Bibee. Ben Lively will regress at some point, Gavin Williams' health is a question mark, and Triston McKenzie and Logan Allen have been the two worst starters in the league this season.
Miller to Phillies for johan rojas
You really think Cleveland is going to trade for someone who will be making $17 million next year, and then looking to sign an expensive long term contract the year after that? That doesn't sound like the Cleveland franchise that I know.
Owner gave the front office the go ahead to go spend some more money than they have in the past so it is definitely possible. They also have done 2 over 100 million contract extensions in the past few years so definitely trying to start spending more
$17m is a bargain for a shortstop these days lmao
Zack Meisel, the closest reporter to the team, has said that money will not be a factor in any deals
@@GK46958 That would seem to go against decades of history. Every single trade of consequence I can think of involving Cleveland involved them trading away their expensive stars for prospects -- not the other way around.
@@rhyde Not saying it isn't. I'm saying Cleveland is 26th in MLB in payroll. They aren't the type of team that typically locks up 17-25% of it's entire payroll on *ONE* player -- let alone two, or three players. Particularly one that isn't hitting worth a crap this year. It's a bad fit. They extended the home-grown Ramirez, and they bought out the arb-years of Gimenez (which is the typical Cleveland move). I just don't see them spending 20+ million on a third player.
Mason Miller won’t be moved…yet. Phillies landing a guy like Kyle Finnegan more realistic
Would be solid!
To hou: vladdy
To tor: dezenzo, blubaugh, and Pedro leon/ or McCormick?
Top 4 astros prospect, astros top pitching prospect, and either a guy stuck in aaa having a really good year or actual tested major league talent that seems to have just lost his spot
Don’t see Houston letting go of McCormick tho
@@andrugarza8583 why not? Meyers has outperformed him especially defensively, and loperfido should be staying up so someone needs to go when tucker comes back, and odd man out for me is McCormick
I doubt the jays even trade vlad
Braves or dodgers want miller
Brewers get Garrett Crochet
W Sox get Brock wilken, Colman Crow, Juan Baez and Wes Clark.
The Blue Jays would NOT trade Vlad for that package. Love the video though.
I think Brice Matthews would be extremely enticing. Thank you sir 🫡
@@rhydeBrice Matthews is dog outta Nebraska he is probably gonna be a very solid player
@@rhyde 80 grade hit tool for a 45 is sad
As a Stros fan I don’t really want him fantastic player but our farm system is so bad and I don’t wanna kill it even more
@@GeauxTigers2024Vladimir does not necessarily merit a player like Matthews, who is more upside than anything else. Melton would suffice.
Braves for Miller! Give them AJ and Baldwin and another player to be named later!
How about? Rocchio,Valera and clemency for Bo
Not trading Rocchio. If anything Arias Valera and Clemmey
@@TheHardy8778 where does Rocchio play them if Bo is at short. third and second are occupied and same for first. Where does he fit on the guardians?
@Baseballfan87467 I'm not trading for Bo in all seriousness I think it's a lot more important to trade for a starter. Rocchio is a stud defensively but moving a lot for a season and a half of Bo isn't a great idea if we can't extend him.
@@TheHardy8778 Fairpoint, but if you can get an extended, it would be worth it a red hot second-half Bo will really help this red hot guardians team this year and that will cost Rocchio plus the two prospects that I name earlier because rocchio is Bo replacement for Jay, right so that is simply what I think it would cost the guardians to get bo and the jays should be asked for that in my opinion
As an Astros fan, I don’t want Vladdy our farm. System is already bad enough. I don’t wanna kill it even more. I know the draft is soon but still.
Not to mention we gotta extend him and with Tucker and Bregman no shot we can afford all three
I’m an Astros fan and I would love to see vlad on our team.. our window isn’t wide open like it once was so gotta try to go for it as much as possible rn.
@@GeauxTigers2024might be worth it knowing this year is likely their last chance to go for it before they fall off. The roster is getting old and expensive. They could maybe afford Bergman, but there’s just no way they can shell out $300-$400 mil for Tucker.
@@brandondillman5841 maybe so but even if we do fall off it won’t be for long Ik I just said our farm system is weak but I’ve loved the way or GM has drafted so far if he has 2-3 more great drafts I don’t think the rebuild will be for that long
Im also an Astros fan but I would do the trade in this video. It would hurt our farm system but I trust Dana Brown to draft the right guys like he did last year with Matthews, Bloss etc.
Vladdy to Houston seems like a great fit
2 weeks ago with how the Astros were playing, it wasn’t even on my mind 😂 it would be fun for sure.

Bo for Rocchio straight up would be really nice
I’m not even like coming at you or anything but hear me out, jays won’t trade vlad. He means so much to the fans to Canada. If atkins does this he is most likely fired and fans won’t go to the jays games
Fair, but with the way the Blue Jays are right now and extension seeming to be in the picture, you can’t rule out a trade, no matter how much you mean to a city. My argument against that is Nomar in 04. If there was ever a player that meant the world to a city, it was Nomar in Boston. Countless other examples too of a player that meant a lot to a city getting traded. Now I can see the argument of holding onto him and see where you’re at next year, but a trade should not be ruled out.
How in the world is Vlads trade value only $10M lol
He plays 1B and hasn’t done well the last couple years. His value will probably go up a bit on BTV soon.
@@rhydehe’s been great this year tho
How about something like:
Cleveland gets-
Bo Bichette
Yusei Kikuchi
Toronto gets-
Brayan Rocchio
Juan Brito
Franco Aleman
Then Cleveland could also go get like a Taylor Ward
No way lol
@emiliob12 why not
@@GK46958 Toronto gives up their cornerstone SS and best SP this season for 0 top 100 prospects, including two SS’s who have both done little to nothing with the bat at a high level? Big Cleveland fan I see lol
@@AR0dfulberrios has been better
@AR0dful bichette has a 76 wRC+ and 1.5 years of control. His value isn't the same as it was last year. Kikuchi is a rental. Juan Brito should be a top 100 prospect. He's a very balanced hitter. He's a pretty low risk guy to become their franchise 2B. Rocchio was a consensus top 100 guy coming into the year. His glove is very nice, which teams value. His bat has shown signs of coming around, so he should be a worthwhile project. Tools are there to be an above average hitter with great defense. Aleman has the stuff to be the future closer. Legit 70 grade fastball with good secondaries. Pipeline isn't a reliable list
Yankees not trading Beeter for a mid reliever
Always love the dismissive comments when something similar has happened countless times prior

Hard pass on the Miller trade. Nor is Oakland gonna trade him
You know for a fact you'd be hyped if the Phillies got him 😂
I get baseball trade values has it's own formula and tries it's best but I can't take that value they put on Vlad Jr seriously. That's pathetic. I'd much rather have a good bat at a "non-premium" position, than an average player anywhere else.
Tbh it will probably increase soon (they do updates over the weekends). However, a big part of the algorithm is past performance, so his last couple of years didn’t help at all. This is where organizational philosophy/need comes into play. In the end, BTV gets you half way there, and then the human aspect gets you the rest of the way, which BTV has acknowledged.
Vlad will be a Yankee
.184 BA = 94 wRC+ shows how bad offense is this season 🥲
I don’t think batting average is what WRC+ looks at…. Batting average is a horrible stat
@@Jfratt13 It doesn’t factor in BA and BA isn’t a perfect stat, but it’s far from horrible. Getting hits often is always a good thing, and getting hits less often is always a bad thing. When’s the last time someone’s gotten an MVP vote while hitting .183?
@@AR0dfulwhen is the last time someone got MVP votes while having a 94 WRC+ and not being a defensive player lol
@@sir.muffiniii7011 Likely never, but what does that have to do with me arguing that BA isn’t a terrible stat? Not saying it’s perfect and it certainly doesn’t tell the full story, but the rate at which a player gets a hit is far from a terrible stat lol
@@AR0dful bcz you should have used the OPS for the WRC+, or the WOBA actually, not BA, bcz look at Schwarber, he hit .197 last year and had a 120 WRC+
