That is sick! Closed-wheel dirt oval is the most fun you can have with your friends. Can't wait to get some of these.
Hey that should have STP on it!! Richard Petty 👍👍
Agree 👍 I grew up around and in stock car racing , I need to build 80s stock car now with tire options I think mudboss or even drag slicks
That would have been nice!
Great video, I like the car a lot
If you have three or four other people that do radio control hobbies there's so many options that would be super fun like three or four of these anywhere would be awesome
Yes it is,it gets hot very quickly
I Like it!
These would look so good if they ran the longer short-course-truck wheelbase. I bet they'd race better, too.
Very much reminds me of the old RC10DS I had back in the day for about a min I tried running it at my local OnRoad track in the 2wd gearbox open class unfortunately it sucked at that 😂 and I went back to the custom built car I had for the class this probably would’ve done better being mid motor the DS just either under steered or spun out every corner. I could imagine this as the next spec class at a local oval track the question is which becomes more popular this or the Traxxas Mudboss which already has a strong following before a ready built kit was available
I hadn't seen that car before, thanks for sharing!
$400 vehicle using Deans connectors should be a war crime. I'm sure they save 17 cents per vehicle with that decision, but do they pass the "savings" onto you, the customer? 😂
I think they've been using Deans for like literally decades, but I agree it's about time for an update.
I'm using Dean's on all my electrics so I don't complain. Is there really a good reason to use anything else in a 1/10?
@@electricnitrorcthere are pro rc racers that run Deans in high amperage 4s 1/8 scenarios. I think the bad name Deans has is from how many cheap clones are on Amazon or similar sites. I have never had an official deans connector fail me.
That's the one thing that aggravates me about Team Associated and Element RC. Their love for the deans connector 😂. Oh, and body posts! Time to update Associated!
Deans are not bulky and nothing wrong with them at all. People like to think you need these giant connectors because their cars are soo powerful and need them:) haha
Great video friend 🙌 I would prefer the chassi from the RTR buggy to be used in this. Don't remember the name 🤔 but it's using a normal size battery tray 🙂
They make a rear motor version of this (SR10) that uses a normal 2/3S stick pack. But mid-motor cars all use shorty packs because there isn't room for a full size stick pack with the motor there.
I'm glad you brought up that this is an old platform. I don't understand why they didn't use the b6 architecture now that the b7s are out. Is a front swaybar even an option? (No.)
They started using B5-based stuff for their RTR's about 6-7 years ago. I think partly because it was the only platform that still had rear motor which was good for bashers and anyone wanting to use a stick pack.
@@RazorRC Yeah, I have a couple of the b5 based RTRs, and I do appreciate that keeping the platform alive keeps parts available. But I think it's time to update their RTR platform, this and the DR10m should have just been b6 based.
I’ve heard in a few circles (no pun intended) that a lot of guys still prefer the rear motor layout for lower grip racing, hopefully Associated keeps the rm SR10 around
I think they will
This doesn't have anything to do with the video bit I figures you would know. I'm running two 5000mah 100c batteries in my 8s outcast and it is gong into lvc when the battery still has 45% left to run. How can the lvc be adjusted so I get more run time. I van turn the truck off for a few min then back on like 4 times. I tale cate of keeping my batteries balanced I want lvc to be at maybe 3.7? Or whatever you suggest but lvc above 4.0 is a little ridiculous
The only thing I wish they would give us with these cars is an unpainted body plus the stickers off of the car but still give us the stickers
Just needs right tires for street n yeah ,a Dean connection, come on man
Absolutely nothing wrong with deans in 1:10 vehicles .
What's wrong with deans? I been out of the hobby for 3 yrs. First I heard negative news about deans.
This is new? Am I thinking of a drag car with a similar name that they've sold for a long time already?
They have an SR10 rear motor, this is the mid-motor version. They also have the DR10 drag car that's been out for a long time (rear motor).
Nice review but I see this as a discount kit in 6 months. Wheelbase is too short, body is too wide. Looks like the RC10 conversions we raced in the late 80's before purpose built dirt oval cars came around. Go to a track and I bet they'll have a good slash dirt oval class but nothing going for this.
I like it , but I personally think that it is waaaaay over priced. It makes the waaaaay over priced Traxxas 2wd bl2s look like a bargain
Yeah, compared to bashers it seems expensive, but 2wd race kits are usually about $380-400, so a $400 prebuilt race kit with electronics is pretty cheap actually...
Wow, ok , guess I will have to keep on bashing 😂
The Traxxas 2 Wheel Dr. is a bargain when they include the battery and charger absolutely good deal I have no real need for Bigfoot bl2 but I think I have to have it
Mudboss over this.
This body made of stamped aluminum like a lasagna tray for crash derby
Ya that be 🔥
Not available for sale anywhere?
Hmm, not available in stores yet, but should be soon!
Only here for the body😅
Dont need brakes on an oval!
At amains you can get this car for $320 right now they have a coupon code labor20 I am super tempted, but I have so many cars that I bought in the last two months. I have a half a dozen I have not even put batteries in yet, but this is super tempting as I’ve been looking at this car of sales this Labor Day I’ve been either something I have or something I don’t want This I want should I get it for $320? What do you think fellow RCers lol
Is this Jonah Hill?
Surprised the SR10 has been around as long as it has. Must be enough of a dirt oval scene to keep it around. Perhaps on race nights they run run stock car and modified/mud boss classes.
