Thanks for the guide. It is my 2nd week in iRacing. Im still very slow but this guide helped me to improve from a 1:40 to a 36,2 in just 20 minutes of practice. Love the content!

I rally race mainly, but wanted some more road practice for fun and also to help friends in other games. Haven't played iRacing for like 7 years and I then this guide shows up yesterday. Really great for me since I am trying to climb out of rookies as fast as possible. It's so weird racing against other people and not going for the best time. Awesome stuff!

Nice guide, I got most of the track right but that first 4 corners I just can't carry the speed. Back to more training!

Thanks for the guide! I've come back to this multiple times now while trying to get my lap times better.
One suggestion that would be nice is if you added time stamps. I've gone ahead and made suggested ones that you could add, if you wanted. 😀

This track is a pain in the ass for cold MX5's tires. I need to be super careful with my pedal inputs because any sudden moves causes the car to spin almost everywhere.
My best time is 1:34.4, and I came here to see what was approach to first part of sector 1, since it always felt like I was just trying to control the car and have a nice exit at the end, and I guess that's just the way to go 😅
1:33.6 is an awesome time. congrats.

Holy crap man. How the heck do you keep the car in the right direction when shifting down to first on some of those corners? Your control is nuts!

Do you have auto blip on for the down shifts? Dropping from 3rd down to 1st for me sees the back end out every time. If I use the clutch and heel toe I can get it OK but I'm not great at it yet so it's a hit and a miss for me. I've been running the track in 2nd other than the hairpin to stop this from happening but your lap doesn't seem to suffer it so wondering if it was auto blip.

I blip my self, auto blip might help, but I prefer to do it :)

Hello and thanks for the video!
Can you tell me how you managed to remove the big central mirror and keep only the virtual mirror?
I can't find the right solution... It is black or active but never removed.
    Thanks in advance

For me that is just the FoV, the mirror is just on another screen, Im at 116 in FOV, that might help

iracing automatically adjusts the car your driving to the proper steering ratio. So in your logitech software it should be set to 900 degrees, and in iracing 900 degrees. Always match iracing to your wheels software setting. If you were to set your wheels software to 540, you would then adjust iracing to 540 as well. Best thing to learn with this track is not to slide and stay nice and smooth. Everyone else is sliding about and bound to spin out, but not you if you just stay smooth and consistent - even if that means 1:38's

Man, wtf this game, i just make it the same line of yours and gaves me 1 Second, 1.34.3

    • @Astroman10
      @Astroman10 Месяц назад +1

It’s not about the line. It’s about the management of weight transfer! This is done through braking and engine braking on turn entry. Just hitting the same marks is just the start of learning the lap. Do you trail brake? Are you gentle on steering into the corner and hard on the exit? How smooth are your inputs?
The physics in iRacing are extremely complex but accurate. Notice how he doesn’t turn the steering too much on entry. He uses the brakes and a little steering to rotate the car. Then hard steering and throttle to stop that rotation and track out. Also, the car is very oversteery throughout his lap! It allows him to control the rotation of the car much easier.
It’s going to take a lot of practice to make this time. Just keep at it!
