The Kia dealer wanted to charge me $55 dollars to change this filter. That's unacceptable. Looks like I can change it for $17 dollars. Thank you for the help.

Thanks! I took my Kia in yesterday for the 22,500 mile service on my 2021 Sportage. They charged me $143.09 for tire rotation, oil change and filter replacement. It cost $9.99 to have the service tech put in the filter and $24.49 for the filter that I'm sure isn't rated at 40,000 miles. It is time to start doing more myself!
Sorry to hear that, they do get you on them upcharges and labor for sure. If you can do it yourself, it does save money!
@@deuceliter I may be 77 years old, but I changed the cabin air filter and it was a lot more trouble than the engine air filter looks to be. :)

Thanks, I've removed this filter before, but the little tabs seem to be frozen. That's why I have WD40
How do you keep the hood so clean
There's no other filter on the passenger side behind the glove compartment?

@lxcidslife if you haven't changed it in the last 15k, then I would suggest changing it as well.
