    Shot out like a cannonball on the top of La Redoute. Just when the peloton was starting to relax a bit. Pure instinct. As a top time trialist riding like a motorbike on the flat. Great win Remco! 🐺👍

      @@socialjusticewarrior2316 Wanty is short for the team that had the second place finisher. It's a surprise because they don't usually have podium finishers in Classic races, and have had a really great run of results this year,cheers

      Yes and in his post race interview Quinton Hermans was more proud of beating WVA in a sprint than being 2nd.

      both started in cyclo cross. With Wout, Mathieu, Hermans, Pidcock and Alaphillipe-Sagan-Pogacar (only until their 18th, never pro) and even Thibeau Nys as cyclocrosser -19 yrs old- winning the European Championship on the road categorie between 19 and 23 years (meaning he was competing guys 3 yrs older than he is... The road cyclists better start doing cyclo cross in the winter; 🙃

    Amazing that with 30km to go, leaders/domestiques from rival teams won’t get together to work for 15-20km to close a solo rider. Save the sandbagging for the last 10km when you are back at the front of the race.

      Finishing third is nothing for you? He ride quite nicely actually, able to stay in the top group, only loosing a bit on the last climb, then manage to come back. Third place is quite a success.

    Watching women race and follow by men, just felt similarity in terms of winner's move; long breakaway and under estimation by the group behind; cycling these days; never underestimate what a solo rider can do.

    What an embarrassment for the rest of the field.... So he holds off the whole field over the last 30ks? Fire every director sportif and start over. Remco had no other game plan and they watched it happen. Congrats. to him. Fantastic performance.

      I agree, they really are pushing him to become a future Tour de France winner, but this doesn't seem to be his biggest strength. When the climbs are too long, he seems to have the wrong body, but he really seems to be at his best in these kind of races, remember how he won in San Sebastian at such a young age.

    @ 0:25 Please only a single block of colour under the contour line of the race. The scatter pattern is too difficult to see the peaks and troughs with ANY clarity.
