According to the dubbed version I saw in the early 90s, Blade transformed after using the Teknobot to "amplify the energy of his shattered emerald green crystal," according to the Narrator. He also combined his power with the Teknobot for a weapon that was "pure anti-matter" (seen in this episode when Blade was riding the Teknobot and using the energy field to go through and destroy his enemies. Teknoman also had a time limit on his transformation, 10 minutes, I think. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Yep, they basically covered that exact story (his crystal is shattered, Teknobot, energy pulses etc) and I kind of recall the time limit thing but I'm not sure.
@@ThatGamingAssholeI hate to break it to ya but I saw the entire series both the American version and the Japanese version and you are way off about the time limit it's not 10 minutes it was 30 minutes and it was mentioned in both versions that if Slade/Blade stayed in his Tekno-mode for more than 30 minutes the Venamoid programming kicks in and he starts to loose his humanity and it was seen in the episode 'Sibling Rivalry' where Blade's twin brother Saber made him fight way past his time limit and the Venamoid programming took control of him till Tina went out and managed to get through to him and Blade regained control though without the scare of his life when he nearly strangled Tina who he mentioned reminded him of his younger sister Shara who Tina is the spitting image of the only difference between them is their hair color where Tina's hair color is a dark brown Shara's hair color is like a light green to an almost teal color and it goes past her shoulders while Tina's hair is shorter just behind her ears.
Another thing I saw a sequel series to the Japanese series called Tekkaman Blade 2 where it was set several years after Blade's battles against the Radam and in it Star/Aki is now the leader of a new team of Space Knights and they have 3 new Tekkamen on the team David who is a playboy who almost always sleeps with every female he meets and is infatuated with Aki,Natasha who is a military brat whose father was responsible for destroying the city of Prague known as Black September and probably the youngest Tekkaman ever a young girl by the name of Yumi Francois who in the beginning was a Space Knight mechanic till she was chosen as the 3rd Tekkaman who was rescued by Blade when she was just a child and the 3 of them were called Primary Tekkamen as unlike Blade they had Tekka Armor but not completely like Blade till they went through the process via a TekkaPlant the Space Knights built and Natasha was also chosen to be given a powerful new weapon called the Reactor Voltekker but when a Radam missile hit near the base when the 3 of them were going through the process to become Tekkamen the resulting explosion caused a malfunction in the computer and instead of being installed in Natasha the Reactor Voltekker data was installed in Yumi and I don't even know how this happened but somehow Blade's TekkaCrystal was restored as was his Tekkaman powers as we all know in the last episode his emerald TekkaCrystal along with Pegas was completely destroyed by Darkan/Tekkaman Omega.
Yes, that's the international version of the English dub. This is the American version of the dub which has more violence cut out and has a few different voices (including Ringo) and names.

Saban did dub the full series, and it's on DVD. But that's their international version of the dub which has some name/voice differences from the U.S. version.

You have to excuse me I actually kind of forgot what I was commenting on. I literally have memory problems, what genuinely was that a reference to?

I think teknoman was a great idea. I wish the whole think was dubbed and edited by saban
@Jaegar19Ultima They did. I watched the whole dubbed series in the 90s.
