Hendrix after one of his concerts was asked by a journalist " What's it like to considered the best Guitarist in the World ? " Hendrix said, " You should ask Rory Gallagher that"...

Rory Gallagher was so incredible. He should get more recognition. Brian May from Queen said he got his sound from Rory Gallagher. He said he was at a show and hung around until everyone had left. Rory was packing up his guitar and Brian asked him how he got his sound. Rory showed him the equipment he used and was down to earth and talked to him for awhile. Brian said he went out to a used equipment store and bought the equipment. He still uses the same sound now. There's a video that has Brian May and Gary Moore talking about Rory Gallagher. Gary Moore also used some of Rory Gallagher's techniques in his playing. Now there's Taj Farrant, he turned 15 a couple of weeks ago. Taj's main influence is Gary Moore with Stevie Ray Vaughn, a close second. To watch Taj play guitar is incredible. He was really good at 9 and you got to watch him get better on RUclips during the pandemic. He's played with Carlos Santana, Rob Thomas and Orianthi. Recently, he's played with Christone Kingfish Ingram and Eric Gales. He's opening a few shows for the great Buddy Guy. He's also opening up for Morris Day and NPG (Prince's New Power Generation) at Paisley Park. They are doing a 40th anniversary tribute Prince's Purple Rain. Taj performs this as the last song at his shows. He actually performed it when he was on Australia's Got Talent when he was 9/10. My favorite song Taj performs is Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. ruclips.net/video/yafWzYfRtj0/видео.htmlsi=b94-t0KGKtLT5xU7
He has changed it a little in the last few months. You watch Taj and you continue to see his growth and how can he get any better and then he does. He has released 5 singles that have all gone to #1 on iTunes blues charts in the pastyear, Crossroads, Cruz, Bad Trip, House Always Wins and 2x2. He has a new single coming out on 6/24 called I Give Up. His first album comes out in August. There are still a few guitarists that have that old school bkues/rock sound. They are just the new generation. Funny thing is Taj's audience is full of people from 40-70. He has the sound we like and have been waiting for someone to play it again.

Listen to DO YOU READ ME. Wild. Rory is a self taught genious. And a beautiful person. You didn't have to go to a pub or a back street to get this type of music back then. It was everywhere. Just the era.
    Rorys music makes me weep.
