Great insights GK. Totally agree with you on the approach - work/learn to provide a solution is BEST and Efficient way rather than completing never ending courses in regular syllabus format. The main issue with formatted courses is we tend to recollect each concept in a waterfall model & that prevents us from building our own mind map.
DevOps and Cloud is all about the hands on experience. If one wants to master skills on these tools, they are supposed to implement those complex scenarios practically. So that they can understand a particular tool effectively and in a faster way. (From my personal experience).

Cloud was always been in my mind but did not know where to start right now i have 2years experience in iOS development and from past 2 months I've been practicing AWS, your journey motivates me alot. Support from Karnataka
4:207:279:18 actually a good course would guide people to follow this method. To sum up the video so basically learn things that are directly related to your role. Learn what's required for the job through job sites and start learning through hands on practice with basic understanding of that technology and build from there until youre confident enough for those job interview questions. This method is more effective than learning some courses since some courses are not directly related to your job role and are usually too broad and deep or vise versa.
GK : thank you for ur tips .i have enrolled for AWS architect course with an institute online on daily basis for 60days ..while i agree with ur point that self learning is more important than someone else's guidance, i being from production support background will not move the needle unless i put myself into such schedule.
that's actually one of the ways i used to learn and is quite beneficial. frustrating yes, beneficial YES. I would suggest that you take maybe a small course and complete it. Maximum 8-10 hours. Practice what you study at the end of the day. that way you are advancing through a course and building stuff. Double satisfaction, double dopamine dose. Remember to say well done to yourself when you achieve or understand something. I found out that this is a game changer in my mood when studying in this sea of information.
Can you please share the resources and the roadmap to learn Devops because I am thinking to start it from much time but now I am motivated and I will appreciate for your help
I agree I enrolled in a course and was so excited but luckily I am the only student bad because hello is teacher any good good part its one on one so I can ask any question and full attention is on me. I am soooo confused now to learn DevOps myself or just do the dam 2 months course learn as much as possible from the teacher and then learn on my own? Or go online look for top 5 DevOps schools in the world and pick no.1 and pay for it?
@@zohaibaslam3874 i would suggest nanas techworld RUclips channel for all devops related resources for juniors. it helped me to understand a lot of the basics. And Network chuck for linux and bash scripting.
@@provenmethods4u i would suggest that you start with a bootcamp or a few months course. Having an experienced mentor to guide you is so important in that journey.
Anirudh - What I observed personally is whenever we have tight timelines with work we think of side project or learning new technology. So its a good sign. Try to apply your side learning skills in your work, you will get practical experience and feedback from your colleageues too. This is what I apply! Good Luck with learning!
Personally, I am fine with trying to learn many things as one as long as you use it as a learning strategy. Software Development and DevOps is so broad and covers so many things, that in many ways, the only way to learn new concepts or discover new concepts is by exposing yourself to it. I would NOT use this as a means to cram study for a month and then try to interview for your 'dream' job. However, If you are just trying to get familiar with the tech interview process, I would use this as a strategy to interview for jobs in general to learn the technical interview process. Keep in mind that your interviewers have way more knowledge in both theory and industry as you will so many times, they will help you understand and reveal the things that you didn't know you needed to know and they will connect the dots between theoretical and industry practice and will help you transition over from theory to industry on the highest level. Even with startup jobs, there are many concepts they might not prioritize that a medium to large company will so those interviews might not be as intense as they are just looking for people to work for them because so many people are focusing on FAANG. So i would say studying multiple things at once can be beneficial when used as a tool to understand what concepts might be expected in a technical interview. So use it when trying to get multiple interviews, but NOT when trying to interview for your dream job
Thanks GK. you are a genuine person. Every other person wants to sell their course but you just want to help us. I am trying to move from Manual testing to devops and i needed this kind of guidance.Thank you GK.
Hey Gk Your are the reason Day by day My love towards Devops increasing and insights towards tool are making very eager to learn..started enrolling the online classes..I will follow your road map of success to be the best Devops engineer..Near future..millon thaks for explanation..love you GK
True, that's why now I take it slowly. After learning new lesson or topic I think it for several minutes to absorb and comprehend what I learned. If you study more lesson in a day you will surely have overload of information.
Thanks a i always thinks why iam not getting knowledge after completing course clearly not remembering those stuf or can't able to solve those in other type of stuff , but u made me so much clear how to re schedule my self in this and clearout every topic which in want

I am huge passionate in AWS Devops and want to learn faster & at the same time planning to sit for interviews . Please guide me the steps to learn and sit for interviews . Thanks a ton for your assistance .
Thank you for your suggestions. But still had a question how you can get the hands on experience or practice in azure because they don't provide you the free account like aws?
I can resonate with everything you say, I do all these things to be the best. But I also do this beacuse I think i would end up being having basic knowledge only.which will not get me a job.what should I do, how can i end this loop.
Is it applicable to anyone, IT and non IT background? i felt that sometimes it's discouraging to do something on advanced tools and struggling with basics. For example, running a container but struggling with bash/linux basic commands. Another example is working on ci/cd pipeline but have no idea of types of servers, software development cycle. So, in these scenarios, what should we do. Self learner sometimes struggles to do a simple task for hours or days in this scenario, i think few paid courses or training are handy.
I agree paid courses and training are convenient in that they provide structured learning and time saving from having to stiff through various information online. From what you mentioned on diving into advanced tools and not knowing the basics, I have found myself in that exact situation when I jumped from IT support to Cloud Engineer. From personal experience, it can be stressful to be in that situation and why I advocate people to get a solid foundation/basics first to later build on with advance tools.
