Troain and Keegan are such good actors, they flit between emotions so seemlessly and this scene is so perfect. You can tell that spencer is past the point of caring about appearances by now and has nothing left to lose in a way.

She told Ella that Spencer was dating him so she could get away with it, not caring about how Spencer felt. Aria, as well as the others, seem to be more involved with their relationships than each other.

It'd be a really tough decision because she loves both so much, but Aria loves the girls. Notice she doesn't even get made at Spencer for ruining her relationship in 3x24! She loves the girls so much.
Aria has done a lot to go after A and figure out Ali's murder. She's the one who called/met with Jonah, remember? Vivian Darkbloom was her thing to investigate. And in 3x07 when she stood up to Mona, she was alone, and she wouldn't let Hanna go back in by herself when Hanna wanted to talk to Mona instead. And they all freak out... when Spencer was about to die in the shower, she freaked out. And are you saying you wouldn't be screaming if you were trapped in a box about to fall off a train?
My mom and I screamed as loud as hell when Toby was seen alive and my poor 8 year old brother was sitting next to my mom and he fell off the couch in pain and agony. xD He hates the show as it is, lol. (But he secretly likes it 'cause he always asks me who 'A' is) MWAHAHA! xD
