It's a niche use, but when you're doing co-op (especially when I did seamless co-op with 2 friends), this weapon art and the spell version were absolute game-changers for many boss fights. Having someone distract/tank while you deal percent max hp, and the boss has 3x hp and increased resistances makes it one of the most damaging options in those situations.
Absolutely! My friend Doug uses this weapon quite a lot, and it was excellent in seamless co-op where the endgame bosses have like 2 million HP haha
Well done Alex, I don’t feel like Maliketh doesn’t get enough appreciation.
The fight is solid and feels very “Artorias like” I.E, it’s tough, but fair, with lots of readable moves.
Combined with some solid lore, a nice weapon and good music, he makes for an all star in my eyes.
I guess because he’s that late in the game, and most are over levelled by that point, he’s steamrolled and then overlooked as players the make the final push to finish.
Yeah, one of the few issues I have with Elden Ring is that I think Maliketh and Hairy Luke are overlooked as they are sll squished together in a "boss rush" at the end of the game. Same with Gideon, if we can even call him a proper boss. It's a shame they aren't a little more spread out as you more or less go Maliketh -> Gideon -> Hulk Hogan -> Radagon -> EB, one after the other!
I just did pvp build focused on this weapon!! It's okay not that good but usable. The weapon art is very hit or miss. None the less supper cool looking!
Yeah I bet it's hard to hit people with PvP unless they don't know the weapon / aren't expecting it! Like maybe baiting them around a corner or whatever. I dunno, I've avoided PvP in Souls games for years haha
@@SilverMont It was all about baiting in, else everyone saw it coming and easily avoided it! I miss your lore vidoes man but I am enjoying this weapon of the week series!
