Manège is a training arena, especially known as a place for horses to run freely and go wild. Batsheva's Young-Ensemble's Dancers Create evening, a program performed yearly since 2000, provides dancers with freedom and space to create independent and uninhibited works. The process of creating the evening this year took place alongside an intensive rehearsal schedule, which included two Ensemble premieres, "Mamootot" and "Ohad Naharin's Virus," as well as international tours. (The Ensemble has created a name of its own and is constantly sought after internationally.)
The works that will be performed this year represent the wild and diverse collection of Ensemble dancers-this is a one-time opportunity to become acquainted with them as creative artists.
The “Batsheva Dancers Create” project is presented for the 14th consecutive year with the support of the Michael Sela Fund for Cultivation of Young Artists at Batsheva.
