- Last weekend we decided to spend some time in nature- we explored the Martin Goodman Trail and went to the Humber Arch bridge in Etobicoke.
Also, saw a pre-construction townhouse that's coming in Mississauga - real estate in Canada is crazy right now. Let's spend a weekend together :)

Very nice vlog watched lot of your creation, do not get hung up on $1million price tag, its all about carrying cost means how much mortgage, with some sacrifice you can buy this property, our first house in Toronto carried 22% interest rate in 1980...house price was $75000 a 3 bedroom detached 2 story...I say go for it before it gets more out of hand price wise and higher interest rate...currently interst rate is slightly above 1% for 5 years.....good luck!
Real estate seems to be the most expensive thing in Canada and that’s what takes up all the money. 😢

It just a suggestion if u guys looking for a home.. chk out alberta.. im frm alberta province too.. as compared to townhouse u shown us in this video.. in 5-6 lakh u can buy a very beautiful house withgarage Basement and backyard in alberta.. just a suggestion..

You've got to try the thin crust pizzas at Le Vecchia (it's just across the entrance to Humber Bay Park on Lakeshore W). Imagine sitting in this beautiful park while chomping on a four-cheese pizza!

I beleive you guys should move out of Downtown. You will get accommodation for lower price and you will enjoy nature too. And moreover collab with other youtuber and you will get info about house from them. Collab with canada couple, potato talkies, etc
Certainly not with anything like the house they looked at. Notice the little street the house was on did not even have sidewalks. If you want to walk you have to do it in the middle of the road. The main artery it was connected to was unfriendly and the closest food place was a long distance on foot. After which it was such a long walk to the park that they never made it and eventually ended up eating on a concrete lip.
They did not walk in nature and then walk to the house - they took an uber. So essentially going to nature means planning for a 20 minute car ride and going outside for a walk is not reasonable.

One block up from Humber Bay Park the bungalows go for more than a million.
You guys might want to get the bike pass because I don't think you will find bikes anytime soon. There are bike shortages and most stores seem to have run out of bikes. All stores I checked said the earliest date to get a bike is probably end of summer while one even told me they won't get any shipments until winter of 2022!
I suggest that you guys visit Tommy Thomspon Park (you can bike there from Downtown), Toronto Islands (you can get a kayak tour as well to visit the islands, I did a tour with Harbourfront Canoe & Kayak Centre last summer, you cross to the islands, explore the canal ways inside and make a comeback within 3/4 hours), Woodwine beach and Hyde park if you haven't yet. Would make for great content as well :D

I would be careful here. We watch the first half of the video in which Peekaboo is enchanted by Humber Park (great bike path btw I have rode it a number of times). Then they get in a Uber and go and look at a house on a street that does not even have sidewalks. Peekaboo says "it is so beautiful" which may be true but keep in mind that one will have to enjoy that view from the window of ther car because you are not going for an evening walk with your cuddle bunny there - they don't have sidewalks!
It connects to a completely unwalkable road with one place you can eat that is mediocre and a long walk away and once you get your food it becomes clear it is to far to even get to a park so you end up eating on a concrete lip by a bus stop.
Is this what you want your neighborhood to be? A place you can only leave if you plan out a car drive first?
The reality is the way we are throwing up suburbs in Toronto is fundamentally flawed. We should be building neighborhoods and instead we are creating areas housing practically designed to make it impossible to meet your neighbors that are near impossible to walk around in where you have to get into a car if you run out of milk and where an evening walk requires taking a 20 minute car ride to some destination (that is probably scary dark once the sun goes down) and a 20 minute car ride home again.
Make sure that you don't decide to pay a large chunk of your hard earned money to live in a place that makes you feel isolated and lonely. It is tough enough living in a foreign country with freezing winters as it is without adding housing designed to exasperate mental health issues on top of that. Since you love the outdoors and walking I would make having a good walk-able environment a factor in your search for a place to live.

@@cgurl Yes I understood that but the video in many ways treated the two elements as separate and they are not. Peekaboo is looking at places because she and her hubby are considering buying a home. My point is your home is also the environment it is in. The flaws in this environment are, sadly, hardly unique - they are in fact terribly common place in Toronto suburbs.

@@cgurl Fair enough but I do think it bears emphasizing. When we look at statistics about who is buying what in Toronto we find that new immigrants far outpace 2nd and 3rd+ generation Canadians in buying these houses in the out lands of suburbia. (The 2nd and 3rd+ generation are the population more likely to buy or rent the downtown Condo's and Apartments).
At the same time we find that it is, naturally, 1st generation immigrants that are most likely to feel lonely and isolated. This is of course natural - after all you have moved away from friends and family. Nonetheless the decision to live in one of these suburbs will often exasperate that feeling of loneliness and isolation.
While every individual and couple are different and buying a house in the suburbs is surely the correct choice for some even with the drawbacks I am trying to draw attention to I do think that it is a point that is worth emphasizing as I believe that some new immigrants are allowing their dream of owning a home to make them not recognize this drawback.
I suspect that one of the reasons that the 2nd and 3rd+ generation residents are less likely to choose to live in the suburbs is because we have experience with them even if we don't live there. We have visited such places while growing up many times and thus are more likely to decide that the drawbacks of living in an apartment or condo are not as bad as the drawbacks of living in suburbia.

Move to Calgary 50% cheaper. Use remaining 50% in other rental property or business. Calgary has the fastest growing tech, finance and real estate industry. Calgary is world’s cleanest and most livable city. Calgary is also sunniest ☀️ city in Canada. I am already seeing some of my friends and family members who work from home moving to Calgary. We will see more of this trend in coming years. Recently Infosys, Mphasis and RBC announced their new headquarters or offices in Calgary. Many Hollywood companies are filming in Calgary.
