contollers usually have a +/- 1-2amp range on their ratings and with batteries fully charged putting out ~52v, 52x27=1404. so safe to say I think that it is actually a 25 amp controller
Could something like this be used as a rail trail bike if the tires were switched out for more road tires? Assuming that would bump up the battery range a bit? Looking for a comfortable cruiser with good range. Aventon Ramblas looks great but its a $1k more. Its rated for 80 miles, but probably under 50 miles in the real world?
Title had me, I'm expecting this to be good! As always cheers for the great reviews (..and honesty, which is important) 👍 I love the looks, but... (20 mins in...) Damn, it's performance is sadly very much lacking..super slow
@@maximumchargeEV I think it's mainly the mid-drives gear changing malarkey, seems like a lot of hassle that you just don't get with a hub motor... I was expecting it to be quite a bit faster from a standstill, and to perform much better on the hill timed challenge too.. maybe it's fun to ride, but the having to ease off the throttle whilst changing gears just seems like a waste of 200Nm of torque.. I was just expecting better performance.
I have an important question for you , will the 45 amp controller on the new wired freedom wear out the motor(1500watt) a lot quicker than the original 40 amp controller ???
Lol, by the way your hands and arms are shaking badly over the handlebars on the trails, it doesn't look like THAT eBIKE is "EATS up EVERY BUMP" is JUST NOT TRUE! Good luck with that.
Haha touche. Nothing you can do about the small bumps bug suspension + almost 5 inch wide tires is the best you're gonna get. Also, what if I were talking about the rear suspension as well?

35 mph is the minimum all day long standard. Throttle only
Would rather have torque for off road. Will never hit 35 on the trail
Good off road suspension though
Indeed!

@@MickyBee73 yeah it takes more work to ride a mid drive bike for sure. I will be changing the gearing to see how that changes things.
@@maximumchargeEV You get to keep the bikes then after testing/reviewing? If so that's great.
@@MickyBee73 yeah almost always unless the shipment back is negotiated into the marketing deal.

Won't really make any difference as a 1500w can take quite a bit more.
not sure, but it will stress it more for sure.
Great job Alex!
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video definitely a monster of a bike 🚴
Sure is! Thanks!
love the suspension!
They got it right!
Haven't haven't had a mid drive yet. I would be afraid i would destroy it lol.
It's takes more work for sure. I'm going to upgrade the gearing and see how well it climbs
I thought they re-poured the sidewalk...🤔😂🤣
hopefully not, I'm starting to get used to the torture!
It is a classic style mountain bike....designed for real trails...and pedaling.....
absolutely!
My brother has a mid drive, he hits the brake cut out for a second between gears.!
Makes sense!
Where's the bumper?
The tire lol
@@maximumchargeEV ...i thought there was a bumper on the sidewalk in many of your videos......I think I am right.....
Can you drive a stick shift...?🤔😁
No...slow bike....but mountain bike trail bike she is....
Princess with a beard....I guess so...in today's world.🧔♀️🤔😂🤣
Bahahaha. I'm telling biden you said that
AWESOME
thanks!
Some middrives auto cut throttle when shifting.....
yeah that's what that shift sensor does
Yah. We don't have off road places where i live. So its not a consideration.
Not the bike for you then
@@maximumchargeEV No.. Kepler or E-Cells is fine
@@JohnBabcock-qy1cs ecells all the way
@maximumchargeEV Just a great deal right now
I don't think so
I know so, because I tried the bike.
really ?
No way!
36 minutes on a no frills bike
Did u ever name the drone?
I think we just left it at "drone"
Great honest review! 💪🦵🚴♂️. Too slow for me....🤔🤣😂
thanks! Cause you're a a high speed addict! Probably why we get along.
