I have love/hate relationship watching videos like this because my plant wishlist grows exponentially by the end of it! It’s great to see the grow tent again and looking forward to the full video.
@@cadavercakes I always love to see the plants in person before I buy them. I fortunately have a pretty good selection by me in Jersey so I like to make lists of plants I find interesting (like in this video) to find in person! Already hunting for that syngonium!!
I'm glad it turned out pretty well because it was nice to film there & have a little more freedom haha with the baby at my heels normally it's a little more stressful to film :P
Harli, if you are ever feeling like you're in a creative rut for videos, just know that we LOVE when you just chat and tell stories and talk about your plants. Plant vlogs are so awesome.
I just got a manjula pothos this morning 🥺 they may not be rare overall but they're definitely uncommon in my area. Was so thrilled to find it at Lowes. Pothos are just so great, man 👌🏻
I've recently fell in love with pothos as well. You should look into scindapsis argyraeus, silvery ann and my favorite Exotica. I bought a couple exotica's last week and I'm still petting the leaves because I'm so in love with it. I'm jealous you have a Manjula pothos. They are impossible to find in my area.
Global Green Pothos are very underrated in my opinion. I absolutely adore mine. I bought a 6" pot for $60 online. It was so beat up (from the previous owner, not shipping) and was really a 4" plant in an oversized pot. They tolerate underwatering better than any other pothos I have (I used to work 74 hour weeks, not much time for plants). I've chopped mine so many times and it just keeps pushing growth! So worth it despite the damage and false advertising.
I love how different Pothos can be! Mine can variegate from gold to green to white! They’re so fun! I have trouble keeping the neons bright but my others loooove me
I think the most uncommon plant I have is the Nephthytis Swainei. I had seen Summer Raine Oakes feature them in a video and I fell in love and had to have one. I was able to get one from Glasshouse Works for really cheap. Then (probably due to lack of proper humidity) it lost a couple of leaves, so I wanted to get another one - and now I can't find them anywhere. I cut back the dead leaves and put the remaining rhizome in sphagnum and FINALLY it has a new leaf...it's been like 8 months. They grow SO slow. :)
I have a big pearls & jade pothos, one vine was almost reverting? So I propagated it, now it grows kinda like the global green pothos 😍 so cool. ✨👏🏻 plants ARE crazy.
Marble Queen started the whole "is-it-getting-out-of-hand-and-where-can-I-cram-more-plants-thing" for me. Still love it. You can get one propagation and once its really picking up, propagate like crazy and it will look totally different depending on the light its getting. More light is more white and the darker the darkergreen the leaves will be. Gets you at least 5 completely different plants! Also if you let them hang or climb, makes a big difference. Plus, awesome that they are hard to kill (just dont! overwater) and hardly sensitive to pests. I just love it!!
Hi from small town, Canada. I don't know if my plant is rare everywhere, but I bought it at a garage sale here, for $3.00 , May 2019. It's why I started watching youtube videos, to find out what it was. I had gone to most of the local nurseries and asked if anyone knew what it was. No one had ever seen it before. I finally saw it on a youtube channel from the Netherlands, at a rare aroid plant shop, and this winter I finally saw it in a local nursery. My plant is a Madagascar Jewel, it's from the same family as a poinsettia. It has a weird looking stem (which is it's trunk) it is actually a tree. If you haven't seen or heard of it , you should google it. Love your videos, keep it up :)
Raphidophora korthalsii is probably my uncommon favourite atm. I just really like velvety/suede-like textured plants. I'm on the look out for a philodendron glorious too, but they are really hard to get here (glorious, melanochrysum are easier to get). When it's warmer, my variegated lipstick plants gets shipped (garden centers are still closed because of covid) and it seems a little hard to find good info about aeschynantus or nematanthus, so I guess they kinda uncommon too.😅
Literally just watched a video with philly foliage nick pileggi where he talked about the rhaphidophora is probably going to be more common this year with i think he said tissue cultivation (?) So yay!
I feel like raphidophora as a genus just deserves wayyy more credit like I haven’t seen a raphidophora species that I wouldn’t buy! Though I don’t personally I have one I really want a raphidophora hayi, they are like a giant version of monstera dubia!
It’s funny watching what’s uncommon and common to you in USA and comparing it to us in Australia. I recently scored a Cebu Blue. I’ve been searching high and low and I managed to pick it up for $80. There are some cuttings going for up to $250 on eBay!!! Then the Rhaphidophra decursiva is quite common here in Australia however there is not much information for it online when trying to research it as people seem to get confused with it being a epipremnum pinnatum. This is why I love to watch your videos because I tend to fall in love with all of your plants and if they come across uncommon to you and common to us, I’m stoked when I find one for a good price! The last few months I’ve now gotten a Hoya obsession... haha. Thanks for that!!
I also don’t ever see the decursiver anywhere! I bought one in the beginning of 2019 (one of my first babies 🥺) and haven’t seen one since!! It took me until 4 months ago to get the care and lighting right so it was dormant for that entire time somehow, only putting off 1 leaf at all but ever since 4 months ago I’ve gotten 5 fenstrated leaves and my god is it one of my favourite plants ☺️
I LOVE global green pothos. So I definitely understand! 🥰 Can't wait to see the whole grow tent video. Would love if you did a complete plant tour video, doesn't have to go in depth. Just a tour would be nice 😊
Raven ZZ is one i love and consider uncommon. I never ever see them in any stores here. I recently got one in a trade and I’m in love! So worth the wait and hype imo
I’m not as big of a fan of yellow variegation, so I do prefer my snow queen to my golden....I would love a global green pothos. Really pretty. Going on the wishlist. 👍🏻

I have the raphidaphora and icana. Both brilliant plants. That syngonium looks amazing. Harli, you will love my uncommon plant (well, you can get it in Australia), it looks like a cross between a philo and a scindapsus pictus, but with red under the leaves . The name is Apoballis accuminatissima (red sword)
Love your collection of unusual plants. I bought what I think is an unusual plant three years ago from a nursery going out of business, I just recently learned what it is called. I wonder if you’ve heard of it? It’s called Devil’s Backbone. It’s a cool plant!

I have the Emerald pothos and just love and appreciate the subtle variagation. I have heard that the Emerald is just a reverting Manjula/Pearls N Jade though. It wasn't expensive and I won't be mad if I have another green pothos because I love them. 💚

Pretty much all of them at this point :P Except for the larger plants that are thriving in my regular home environment! Oh also if it's a plant that I want to grow faster I'll put it in the tent
I absolutely love my Giant Hawaiian Pothos. It can be a hard one to come by (in my area at least) but if you find some I definitely recommend buying it!
One plant i have that I really love and is kinda uncommon is a Stephania Erecta, one of those purple-stripped bromeiliads, hydnophytum puffii (ant plant) and my pinecone cactus

I had peperomia incana, but I give it away, because I didn't liked how it grows... It's like going from the sides, branches are horizontal. I liked how fuzzy it was but leaves were dropping so I don't have it anymore. Sending big hugs from Poland 🤗😊🇵🇱
I have a neon pothos that has a darker green variegation and it's one of my favorite plants . So I get it and would love one like yours . Thank you for sharing
I have the same thing I have a huge neon photos plant and some places have dark green edges and others have little white splashes everywhere. I Love them.
Love, love the one that looks like the monstera. So exciting, I just got my first monstera and a peperomia clusiifolia, and my monstera has a leaf with a white spot. It might be variegated :-).
I want global green so bad! I’ve yet to see one with my own eyes though so I couldn’t tell you I’d I would love it or not. I do have an emerald Pothos and a Jessenia. Both hard to come by here where I live. My current fave Pothos though is the Manjula! I have many😳

I absolutely love my Giant Hawaiian Pothos. It can be a hard one to come by (in my area at least) but if you find some I definitely recommend buying it!
Omg I love that video. You should do more vids of just showing off plants🥰
My favourite is my Cebu Blue - so hard to find in the UK, I got mine shipped from America!
That intro gets me every time........makes me happy
Thank you wow
I cant find watermelon Peperomia where I live, so I definitely consider that somewhat rare and am envious!
That might be the most beautiful Decursiva I’ve ever seen 😍
Adding V- watermelon peperomia to my wishlist 😍
I am going to be keeping an eye out on The Foliage Fix in a few months for those variegated watermelon pepperomia propagation! 🤯🤞💕💕💕🍉
Love your new green house Harli! Now you just need a comfortable chair and a glass of wine, and you have the perfect She Shed🌿💚🌻
YES. That would really be the cherry on top haha
One plant i have that I really love and is kinda uncommon is a Stephania Erecta, one of those purple-stripped bromeiliads, hydnophytum puffii (ant plant) and my pinecone cactus

Been looking for an erythrophyllum for a minute! Love any dark foliage plants
Yep. My neon is just like this.
Ohhhh I've seen photos online of some neon pathos pushing green bits on leaves & It is so beautiful!
Love, love the one that looks like the monstera. So exciting, I just got my first monstera and a peperomia clusiifolia, and my monstera has a leaf with a white spot. It might be variegated :-).
How exciting!
Yay! Those are both awesome plants! I hope the variegation stabilizes & continues in the planter you, that is so exciting!
I want global green so bad! I’ve yet to see one with my own eyes though so I couldn’t tell you I’d I would love it or not. I do have an emerald Pothos and a Jessenia. Both hard to come by here where I live. My current fave Pothos though is the Manjula! I have many😳
I have an Alocasia melo I just love. It’s so textured!
Ohh I don't think I've seen those before! I'll have to look into them
@@HarliG please do! My second favorite is a V. BNF and I first saw one on your channel!!
That variegated money plant is super pretty!!
I definitely agree with you there!
I really like my global green too. I think it's pretty. Bought it on a whim and happy I did. Excited for it to get big.
ohh I'm happy you were able to find one! They are pretty elusive haha
