Really like the format! Prefer this for sure, if I could suggest maybe adding a written version of this as well? It might just be me, but having a written copy of build order and such whilst watching helps me learn more on the initial watch through and help with these steps in my own practice, keep up the great content!
This video really helped me to understand Kraken clan and how to win with it after the upgrade. Really informative and as for the format: getting shown something is usually more helpful than just reading about it. So thank you, really nice job 🐙
As new player, i'm happy to see such a Guide. I've tried to figure out what do you do in a real play, but really haven't seen lots of thing because of fast acting. I think we all need guides like this one.
I will definitely try this :) . Also the best format, really like it, easier to remember after one watch. Keep up the good content! If you can, please add dragon and stoat to the list ;)
So you want those tiles is that what you are saying with it? Or that is what you got for that playthrough you are showcasing? Was wondering since you are the only one on YT making guides, maybe add a little more detail? "Freeze the Drip Gaming" got me into Northgard, his guides were fantastic, well explained, but he hasnt posted in 10 months. You are now the big Northgard poster. Just a request. Maybe a guide for each clan, would be amazing!!! The playthroughs are nice, but the explanations arnt always there, and like the ending of this game, was so fast with little explanation, i became lost quickly. Your shorts for the couple clans you did, are right on point, quick, easy explained. Maybe some specific details regarding that clan, tricks and tips kind of @@larsmanlive
Exactly, that is what I got here in the playthrough. In Northgard, many clans are played differently depending on the spawn! That's why I included my spawn here as a 3 sheep + forrest spawn gives additional benefits. I am interested in your opinion on which format you like better. The playthorugh format with commentary and quick tips (my Kraken/Stoat/Rat guides) or the "slide" guides I did before. I am aiming to do as many clan guides as I can :)
Near the Sea Spirit would increase your Wyrd by a flat +1 for each high tided tile. You want to spawn your ghosts first and THEN you activate the lore afterwards as it would counteract your negative Wyrd. The more negative the Wyrd the better!
How does this change if you get less sheep for example I was just testing this in single player and I noticed that if I don't get sheep it's hard to get enough food to drop 2 wood cutters and colonize 3 tiles
I miss the old Kraken wyrd mechanics, summoning ghosts on ennemy beaches was so strong, with a friend in MP we would run Kraken + Crow and send ghost + mercenaries on someone lmao
@@larsmanlive Yeah I admit it was very unfair, especially as pre change Crow mercenaries didn't leave after some time, so the tactic was just to send double raids onto someone's home tile and force them to back away and let you attack
Trading dwarves gets you ressources even before reaching 100% relations. In a normal 3v3 setting, getting the giants to 100% is not that easy. If you have the food to spare, I'd definitely go for giants over dwarves :)
Just got the game recently and was interested in trying multiplayer ranked 3v3. I heard the game is very fast at the moment but I was thinking about trying Kraken. Is it still viable? The other clans I liked are Stoat, Owl and Bear. (Any of them viable?)
Hey there, welcome to the game! Multiplayer is significantly faster, especially 3v3 which is the most prominent game mode. Owl is one of the best clans in the game with Stoat and Kraken being really good. Careful though, all 3 clans will be *HARD* to get into. Stag and Goat are more beginner-friendly and just as strong. Bear is really, really bad.
@@larsmanlive Hey there. Thank you for your answer! I have played for a week and mastered the timing for 802 army conversion but I managed only with Kraken. I struggle with the other clans. Do you recommend for me to keep playing Kraken for beginning and go Ranked that way? I tried 1 ranked game and my teammates had no army by 803 when I got attacked by 3 people but I could not defend alone. Nor did they write anything in chat. Is that common? Thank you for this guide it helped me with this clan.
@@laelysshadowsong6565 Amazing stuff! I am so happy my guide was able to help out and I am glad you got the timing down. Some rankeds are like that, but as long as you work on yourself and convert huge in 802, you can carry most of your games! Reading your comment made my day
Also, if you ever remake these guide videos it would be nice if you added a still image of the build order listed out to make it easy to throw up on the second monitor while I practice.
Another question... I thought I saw in another video you mentioned kraken having to clear with the 2 axe thrower juggle but here you clear with warrior ghost so I was just curious why or which method was better.
hey great video, I just really am having trouble understanding how you kept your wood up after the conversion stage. You somehow are having only -4 in wood while having no woodcutters, no lore to reduce wood consumption, no geysers, no feast, no squirrel buffs etc. if I use the formula from the steam community, regardless of difficulty you should be in between -13 and -31 wood. So how did you achieve this feat xD
Thanks man. So the way I understood it, population needs firewood. Firewood consumption increases severly in winter. for ~10 population you are ~ -1 firewood per tick so with about ~ 30 pop you're comsumption will be around ~ -3 firewood per tick. Keep in mind that this only applies in summer though :)

Really love this kind of guide @larsmanlive !! Its very helpful, looking forward to more such content for other clans
My man ♥️
Thanks a lot
somebody did a ~30 conv against me just now and i had to find a video to see how they did that. thanks for sharing, too bad everyone quit!
I hope you'll be the one to do the 30+ convert next time!
same here, i was stag and got destroyed
Thanks for your videos. Really appreciate how well you teach us how to play new clans.
I appreciate you! Thank you for your kind words ☺️
I’m a big fan of type of videos like that! Can you do some more for eagle or stag and boar pls?

Snake and Dragon after that!

Alright! :D
Sick man, can it still be pulled of? I love kraken but it’s hard.
Yes. I am still doing exactly that nowadays.
@@larsmanlive thank you for the opportunity to learn from the best.
great vid and just in time learning krak)

at 0:37 what does all that mean? can you explain things a bit for newer players. Your guides are really the only ones around right now.
Spawn is what is provided by the map + what you cannot influence:
like treasure, sheep or special tiles!

Any thoughts about building Trading Post earlier and clearing with Valkyrie and Ghost?
I wouldn't build an early trade post, but you could clear with a valk if you have treasure!
Why were you waiting to pick your lore at 4:54?
Near the Sea Spirit would increase your Wyrd by a flat +1 for each high tided tile.

Colonize less in the beginning. Colonization only increases your tile space, not your happiness.

Go to the cosmetics section!

Also what is the overlay that shows you what is in each zone?
Spawn means but the map provides: e.g. sheep, lore, lack of stone/iron etc.!
Basically all the things you cannot influence.
Added "build-order-slides" in front of the future guide videos starting with the Stoat Guide!
how did you get negative wyrd without a valkyrie in early years?

I'd say all of them are relevant except the Hounds one!
is the Kraken relic worth making?
No! Don't forge that ever!
It's very fun though😂
why u go bodyguard?
Because leadership is the best military path for Kraken 90% of the time. Sometimes, legions works as well, but I am not a big fan of it tbh.
Waiting for stag 3v3 guide 😊
Would a format like this be fine with you? ☺️
@@larsmanlive thats such a perfect format =)
Can we get a snake guide
Sure thing!
would be nice an alternative if they rush
In case of rush:
1.) Build camps instead of upgrading Townhall + Fisherman's Huts.
2.) Get a border to your teammates to pull pop!

Shipwreck would be so much better though.
