At least Ayuri had a good reason for rejecting 99 guys. I like how Shinji was trying to force Ayuri to date him but instead decided to help her overcome her fear of men and in the end it paid off. It does seem like he was simping for her though
This reminded of that terrible story where Mc confessed to the FMC 99 times and got rejected 99 times and the FMC saw it as a game and was toying with his feelings and said if MC confesses to her again she will reject him and if he’s still loyal she’ll be honest with her feelings. The MC in that story had no self respect for himself. There were theee girls who actually helped him improve himself and he could have gone out with one of them but he decided to go out with the FMC who toyed with his feelings. She even had the audacity to criticize the MC when she saw him with the three girls.

when i first saw the title and the thumbnail, i was thinking to myself, "OOOOOOHHH HELLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOO!!!!!!!!
