The hot gases exiting a cold pipe causes water. It's the same principle behind a cold glass on a warm day except backwards. This can happen to a Toyota Camry or a McLaren P1. Nature is a weird thing.
Had a BMW twin turbo V8 in my X550i and it sounded like this. However, all car exhaust sounds have been ruined for me now by my Jaguar F-type V8S. exhaust in dynamic mode!! Not sure what my next car could be that would have a better exhaust sound. Suggestions?
True, in person the MB sounds like it's got a shitload of torque, the BMW sounds like it's trying to wind out like a Japanese vehicle. The BMWs do rev really nicely though, even the 2 liter turbos but especially the turbo 6s.
I got a 2015 435 ix sport. If you press down far enough on the gas petal, you hit a button. Once you've pressed that button, the car switches into a sporty mode for some time, and downshifts as far as it can. My guess is the dial turned red and went all M-y when he hit that button.
You can see at 2:25 it says S1, S2, S3, etc. I'm guessing the letter stands for whatever mode the car is in, unless they decided to reference Audi models for some reason haha
Rahul Mandala no. The m means it is in Manual mode and the s means it is in sport mode. So when it on m3 for example the car is on 3rd gear in manual mode.
What the Hell are those Plastic pieces in the Instrument clusters doing? Damn, looks ugly as fu*k. I recommend to install the UK-Cluster without the ugly-as-hell Plastic bars. Because with them the Full-Digital Cluster is pretty damn Useless. Has anyone a idea WHY they are there? Is there a law in the US that forced BMW to do that? I know the Adaptive Headlights aren't Allowed by Law.
Turbos makes it sound muffled and flatulent. You can hear how the engine actually sounds underneath, but the turbos puts that sound under a thick blanket and ads an annoying whistle sound. Naturally aspirated engines ftw.
The interior does look similar but infotainment has gotten way way better, you don't see it int he 3 series yet but the 7 and 5 series for 2018 is improved a lot. The 7 series interior is ALMOST a luxury car, but to be honest I've hated the interiors every since they went to that ground up glued together "LEATHER" material. It feels like fucking textured paper, something cheap you'd see in a "leather package" for a Ford Fiesta or something. There are some interior packages also where the seats have that elongated honeycomb design like the old keys from the 90s and early 00s when they actually were keys, those are pretty good. 10 times better looking than the current base fake leather seats.

From now on, if you want a V8 powered 5 series, the only option you can get is M550i. They don't make regular 550i anymore.
