    Can’t wait to see how this little guy handles DS and Dreamcast emulation. The battery life and pocket profile really draw me to it. If it runs Sonic Adventure and is at least decent at DS emulation then it would be perfect for what I want it for.
    These types of videos are extremely helpful. Thanks for your hard work.

      Just wrapping up my Dreamcast testing and I can say that it runs sonic adventure no problem. I'll work on DS soon but I don't anticipate much issue emulating them. You'll just run into the issue with displaying both screens at once for dual screen games with the 3.5" screen.
      Stay tuned for the rg35xx h Dreamcast video coming soon

      Was impressed by this little device, Dreamcast will be hit and miss but you can play a good amount at full speed like marvel vs Capcom 2, crazy taxy, and many more, some won't run well but considering price this little device is great

      Yeah me and my dad had the same issue. You need all of the bios files and there’s a bunch of them. There are guides out there but think my dad lost interest in the end.
      It does look like there’s an Amiga core installation but it looks like it’s missing the bios and games

      Thanks man, I’ve got all the kickstarts, but nowhere can I point RetroArch to them, and doesn’t seem to be any Amiga emulator on the device! This is the only handheld in my collection I can’t get Amiga to work on!

    • @jimst3r1
      @jimst3r1 5 месяцев назад

      @@UrbanHimif you look at retro arch cores there is Amiga emulators included.
      If you start your game rom and it should boot and ask you to point it to the dir of the files: make sure they’re in your bios folder.
      I think the issue is I don’t have all of the required files to run mine but there’s a page with all the required files for the Amiga.

    • @RetroHandheldGuides

      Use batocera. It's the only cfw that currently has the standalone mupen emulator which has better performance than the retroarch cores for N64 for the most part

    LIKE YOUR DETAILED VIDEOS U JUST GOT A SUBSCRIBER WHERE COULD I GRAB THE N64 SD ?

    • @RetroHandheldGuides
      @RetroHandheldGuides  5 месяцев назад

      They don't sell an SD with N64 games already on it, you'd need to make your own. But with a computer and a little help from Google it is super easy to add your own games to the SD that comes with it. N64 ROMs have a v64 or z64 extension.

    Hi, thank you for your video, which console do you recommend me for the same price (60-70 I guess), to enjoy playing some retro games, or even N64 games like OOT, etc. Is this one the best actually ? Thanks !

    • @RetroHandheldGuides
      @RetroHandheldGuides  7 месяцев назад +1

      If you are looking for N64 then you will want joysticks. I think the rg35xx h is the only one in that range that can play N64. As you have seen in the video though, it's pretty hit or miss. OOT is playable on this device but you'll want to set low expectations for the rest of the catalog.
      If you want to throw in a few more dollars, you could get a rk3566 device like the powkiddy rgb30 or anbernic rg353 line that's a bit better at n64 but again not everything.
      For the price, I would say that this device is the best bang for your buck at this price point.

      @morid0 Месяц назад

      Test all available cores, in my experience if the game using RICE core runs slow, I just delete the game since no other core will run it better, sometimes gliden next works good for some games that rice won't even boot or only hear the audio, sadly I'm quite disappointed on N64 performance, it's hit and miss with games and lots of tinkering since there isn't a 1 core/settings solution.

    • @RetroHandheldGuides

      Usually the c stick is bound to the right joystick. So in-game you would press the right joystick in the direction you want to correspond to the c direction

      For N64, batocera. For Dreamcast and psp then the latest stock (or mod3 stock) is a little better. Overall, I would go with batocera but you need to disable DSP audio in the retroarch settings to get decent Dreamcast performance

    What is the best setting for most games to emulate well?

    • @RetroHandheldGuides
      @RetroHandheldGuides  7 месяцев назад

      "most games" is really hard to define here. Parallel with rice gfx will run more games at full speed but many games will have missing textures or textures that flicker which to me is a bit too annoying to enjoy.
      I personally use parallel with gln64 then switch to rice if it doesn't run at full speed to see if I can at least get it playable.

      @RetroHandheldGuides  7 месяцев назад

      In terms of raw performance, rg353vs is better. The 353 line also has better custom firmware as of right now and also supports portmaster which adds a lot of old and new PC game support.

      There are a few coming up (batocera, muOS) that offer a bit better performance on N64 but still not on par with the rg353 line. They are close but if you really want n64 then rg353 will offer a slight edge in performance though it will cost you more money.
      If you go for the android boot rg353v then the android side offers much better n64 performance than the rg353vs
