I'm not sure where you're located at, but we do have them here in California. And I've seen them in other states already as well. Just look for a Korean market like Hmart or a restaurant of course. You might be lucky and find them there.

We have them. I live in the Bay Area CA and there’s at least two Korean corn dog shops close to where I live.
Download yelp and DoorDash (or your food delivery service of choice) and just search for ‘Korean corn dog’ and see what comes up.

why dip shrimp in same container?
Because none of the ingredients, including the batter is left uncooked. There is no risk of cross-contamination. And because the batter is so thick, it has to be pulled up to the other foods. So it really is not being dipped.

@@DeltaEchoGolf I think they should be aware of cross-contamination. The batter or breadcrumbs might be left uncooked in the container and cause bacteria. Even the the food is deep fried, the workers touched the same container then skewer, back and forth.

That isn't the problem, it's cook in the same oil so it's meant to taste fishy too I think
As mentioned in other comments. It may taste fishy because of the oil. But unlike the other items, the shrimp, which has a slippery surface. The batter was pulled up to it and was not dipped.

Why do people reuse oil so much? That oil is absolutelt burnr. In Spain id the oil isn't clear we change it. When you fry something you're ingesting a HUGE amount of oil. Just thinkikg that I would me esting BLACK oil is disgusting. It's full of acrylamide and many other dangerous stuff.
That reminds me my christmas trip to london: at Winter Wonderland there were multiple churros places, but a big sticker informing that they follow the highest food higienic standards. The color of the oil? BLACK as night. As a spanish that I love churros, I recommend you to NEVER buy anything fried in burnt oil.
