I have a question... is it only representative of one line and not all the other lines that came together to make you? Because we weren't taken from just one ethnic group nor did we only mix with one people throughout out history of existence...
Great question ! Depends on the test this one in particular is the maternal test so it only goes through maternal history and consistency later in the video I talk about the paternal test which revealed only one tribe which was Bamileke. As mentioned much can be derived from the results including thoughts on how much mixing actually took place.
YES, African Ancestry gives us our foreparents ethnicity ie. what our earliest mother = Mt-DNA and earliest father = Y-DNA. His Matriclan result is 2 tribes/peoples which means that his MtDNA is "combined." My Y DNA is "recombined," 3 or more peoples. My father and mine is 3 of them. But to help you out, I'm of a majority, @ 41.9% Nigerian, significantly Yoruba but my Foundation building blocks, our Mt and Y-DNA aren't even Nigerian and my MtDNA is Mesopotamian Middle Eastern!?
Mine is also Yoruba. However, not all African Americans tests results are Yoruba. Some are Fulani, Ibo (Igbo) Hausa,Tikar ect... Most Yoruba ancestry are found in Brazil, which is where the largest population of People of African descent.

I just spent $300 on this test I’m sure mine will say Yoruba too like every African American in America 😂😂😂 damn I should’ve kept my money

@@miriamjones3067 Mine was Mende' from Sierra Leone.
Mine is Igbo. I got so much research to back it up. I was shocked there was actual documentation on it.
Scam. What is ancestry? When does it begin or end? Are you saying your lineage begins in 1900 the year it became a country?
Tribes existed before imaginary man-made borders and names of some African countries.
There's always a judas popping up somewhere, when one is trying to connect the dot.
Always wanting to distract people.
@@miriamjones3067 And if they mixed then what are you?
