They were a lot of fun back in my day ..mine was yellow.. I give $ 2300. For mine in 76. Drag raced it as well as daily driver . Uncapped the headers on race day then capped it back on and drove it home .. blown the motor twice . We ended up trading it for new 79 for 150 …..KICK MY ASS !! but we had a lot of fun ..
What an awesome Boss 351...it's true that they were fast in the quarter mile...a friend had one and it was fast factory 🏭 built...as soon as he start modifications it wasn't that fast...it's a Ford built perfect combination 👌
I couldn’t recall if the stock Boss ran a 13.6 or 13.7 back in the day. Great engine but I just never could get past the body style. I had a ‘70 Mach 1 purchased used back in 1973.
What's the original color on the shock brackets under the hood we are trying to get my boss car back yo original and we can't find any info bout the color thanks
Own this as well but had bright red interior with pewter paint ... I will cry now 😭 , My 351 ( Cleveland block) hurst 4spd beat a 69 rebuild 455 firebird one early morning ... I’m hoping mr firebird is reading this ... 😂
I traded my station wagon,( 69 town and country ) to a mechanics plus 400 dollars I got it in 1979 I loved blowing off all the new Cameros, with 185 hp,,,mine was the colour of gone in 60 seconds. My friends could not believe it would burn rubber 1 block after another,,,would buy this but I have a mini van. Wanna trade,,,,
But,,some of my funnier nights were in my v8 Vega had a 283 bolted to the frame,,,painted red with a paint brush,,I loved blowing, off all the shiny new 78 camaros,,l,o,l,,,

@@VoloMuseumAutoSales I'm an old gearhead and pretty knowledgeable on my engine facts. The 351 ram Air Cleveland put out 330 horsepower, under the Boss 429 at 370 horsepower. Of course all engine horsepower ratings back then were underrated, but yet the Boss 429 was the big dog!
@@danmyers9372 The Boss 429 was clearly a monster, as were all the big dogs, Hemi's, LS-6,L-88, 413 Max Wedge, GM 455's. That Boss motor put out an equal 500/500 in reality. No small block is going to feel or sound like it. And 1/4 testing back then was a joke. Put some rear tires to handle the power & that boss is in the 12's.
The restyled 1971 Mustang sports roof body style was very polarizing back in the day. It’s a shame they didn’t put the awesome Boss 351 engine into the 1970 Sports roof body. That would have been the ultimate Mustang IMO.
Sorry, that came out wrong. I never liked that body style. Seeing one in that good of shape is a mind changer and a real treat. Thanks and good luck with the sale.

This HAS TO BE ONE OF THEEEE BADDDDEST 71 Mustangs in existence, IT STILL HAS THE 8 TRACK IN IT PEOPLE!!!!! And it sounds like it needs me LOL
Beautiful pony Car...
351 was certainly a stout engine...

I remember they were selling this car for 6.5 grand around my neighborhood. One of my life regrets is not buying it.

Yes, the Boss 351 had the quickest 1/4 mile ET of any factory stock Mustang ever tested. I believe it was in the ~13.7 range.
This is a heavy car. There had to be faster times in earlier models..
This is proof dreams can be built.
BEAUTIFUL COLOR
🙏👍😍♥️
When new, the Boss 351 jumped from a standing start to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 13.6 seconds.

@@danmyers9372 ; cool
Lovely color combo. only 1800 or so Boss 351's were built for '71.
Mark Johnston but is too long I saw one in person and I still prefer a 1970 Shelby gt500
@@AlejandroP1980s - 1970 Mach 1 is my favorite. Not a fan of the extended nose on the Shelby’s.
I like it!
Worth about half of the original. Tinkeritis

Get your facts straight, The Boss 429 was the king, not the 351! Ugh
