What i love Michael is that he sees and believes even in the slightest goodness or hope of something that's ridiculous, be it a quote, a scheme, a person, an accident, etc etc. He's really like an innocent child that's all grown up physically

I still say "how the turn-tables" to this day. It makes about as much sense as the actual idiom it was derived from. So it seems just as valid.
@Sabrina Kall They all make sense if you know the origin. But it's most typical for people to learn the meaning of and use an expression without any knowledge of its origin. Which is exactly the basis of this joke. It's funny because Michael heard these phrases and learned their meaning but then jumbled up the words. The point is that unless you happen to know the origin of the phrase, you can't explain to Michael why it's "tables turn" and not "turn tables". We take it for granite that we can lookup anything on the internet these days. But looking things up used to take a lot of effort.

Lol,people sometimes just take things to seriously, Michael being highly intelligent understands this and plays on it. Ultimately he gets what he wants and that's all that matters.
Interesting...Another excuse to rewatch the series. This time with the theory that he's actually a genius...those eyes though. Steve is brilliant in the way he made Mike a glassy eyed moron...I'm not sure I can buy into that theory, but it'll be fun to try :D
