- Exploring an abandoned New York State Park dedicated to Donald J. Tump.
Formerly the estate of William Baldwin, past owner of Otis Elevators which was one purchased by Donald J. Trump to turn into a golf resort. It now lays abandoned by the State of New York.
In this video I go and explore this derelict abandoned park and delve into a short history of who the land belonged to previously and what is left on the French Hill property today.
The park was donated by Trump to the State of New York after he & NY failed to come to terms on his golf courses due to water supply & other issues associated with him acquiring the property. We're talking late 90's here also......
Donald Trump purchased hundreds of acres of a former estate parcel in Yorktown New York in hopes of making them (close to his words I'm sure) "more grandeur and building his beautiful golf resorts", however, after the deal fell through, he donated all the land to NY as park and open space so long as it is named after him.....
This is an abundant amount of land that that stands in poor condition with no current plans of revival.

I like ruins up by Monticello the state 4 laned the highway installing a fence along the side. Up a driveway the house was gone, but all their flowers still bloomed in lines around the border of what once was a home. In the side yard were two headstones said Fluffy and Buffy.
Give it time, developers will want to build homes on the land.
Thank you so much for sharing this Donald J. Trump park, I loved looking at all of the ruins. This has so much potential, I wish that he would, at some time, build it back to what it was or possibly the State of New York could do it and make it an historical monument. Pass it all the time when I visit my brother in Yorktown. Didi not know it was abandoned and was always curious about it, even before he became president.
Considering that the state of New York is broke. You should check out the other state parks and see what conditions they are in. Do a comparison.

Was it "donated" or was it part of a development deal....added height for one of his buildings for some undeveloped land?
